Review on Razer BlackWidow mini Hyperspeed mechanical keyboard

The first wireless 65% keyboard made by Razer is the BlackWidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed. It is almost the same size as a 60% board, but it contains additional arrow keys and navigation keys. It can connect wirelessly to up to three devices at once through Bluetooth, and you can also use it wiredly with a braided connection or with a USB receiver. It offers adjustable RGB illumination, all of its keys can be macro-programmed, and it has extremely low latency across wired and wireless connections, just like previous models in the BlackWidow family. Unfortunately, there are some Razer Green switch quality control difficulties with our equipment. The auditory click varies significantly from key to key; some are loud as expected, while others are not as loud. They have a very faint sound that you can barely hear. However, this may only be an issue on our unit.

Build Quality

The Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini includes four rubber feet on each corner of the underside that perform a decent job of keeping the board in place, is composed of durable plastic with an aluminium base plate, and feels well-built. The smaller alphanumeric keys seem solid and the textured doubleshot ABS keycaps are pleasant to type on. The Backspace, Enter, Shift, and CapsLock bigger keys, on the other hand, wobble a little bit more. When you shake the board, the stabilisers ratchet, but otherwise, it shouldn't be noticed while using the board frequently. Unfortunately, our unit's clicky Razer Green switches have a quality control problem. The audible click varies significantly from key to key; some are loud as expected, while others have a very quiet click. They have a very faint sound that you can barely hear. We don't know if this is an issue on our unit only, but let us know in the discussions if you experience a similar problem.

Ergonomics

The Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini has unremarkable ergonomics. It's a straight board with two incline settings and no included wrist rest. Unfortunately, since its profile is high, you need to bend your wrists a lot to type, which may cause fatigue over time.

Backlighting

Fantastic RGB illumination and individually-lit keys are features of the Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini. Through the Razer Synapse 3 software, you may modify the lighting effects and brightness levels. The effects can also be modified right on the board. Although certain parts have a pinkish tint, it is superb at blending colours.

Wireless Flexibility

We don't test either of the claims made by Razer that the Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini can charge from empty to full in less than five hours or that a full charge can last up to 200 hours. The board has a button on the side that allows you to choose between Bluetooth, a USB receiver, and wired mode. A switch with an LED next to it shows how much battery life is left.

Extra Features

A Game Mode hotkey on the Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini prevents you from minimising, tabbing out of, or abandoning your game by locking the Windows key and disabling Alt+Tab and Alt+F4. You can modify what the Game Mode performs with the Razer Synapse programme, and you can assign macros to any key. Macro programming is also possible directly from the board.

Typing quality

An adequate typing experience is provided by the Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini. Although the bigger keys wobble somewhat when being typed on, the doubleshot ABS keycaps feel secure. However, some of the switches on our item aren't as clicky as others and have a tiny variance in the feel of the tactile bump. The Razer Green switches are light and responsive and offer good tactile feedback. Additionally, because the board doesn't have a wrist rest and has a somewhat high profile, you can become tired after typing for a while. If you purchase the keyboard with linear Razer Yellow switches, the outcomes can be different.
