1. Medium opening the Partner Program to 12 more countries:

Writers from these countries down below please pay attention, because you can now enroll on medium partner program starting from August 1, 2023. This is the biggest and so exciting update ever.
New countries on medium partner program:
India, UAE (United Arab Emirates), Brazil, Croatia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Hungary, Gibraltar, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Thailand, and Malta.
If you're country name is not here, then don't worry because medium planning to open its partner program to another 50 countries by the end of this year.
2. Removing the 100 followers requirement:
Medium removing the 100 followers requirement starting from 01 August 2023. Yes, new writer or creator's are not requires to gain 100 followers to apply for Medium Partner Program. Now no need for 100 followers to apply for Medium Partner Program (MPP).
3. Medium membership will now be require to join the Medium Partner Program:
Now writers will need to join Medium membership to apply for Medium Partner Program, which means only those Creator's or writers who are medium members, can apply for Medium Partner Program.
Note: at this time, already existing Partner Program writers will not be necessary or required to become medium member. Medium will announce the next updates or changes in the future for existing Partner Program writers.
4. New Updates in earning
> Earnings will now depends on more meaningful matrics:
Medium is now going to start adding more engagement signals like claps, replies, highlights, follows, for earning. These signals or matrics directly gonna affect your earning.
Note, only the first clap/highlight/reply/follow will be counted for earning purposes.

> You will earn according to your read ratio:
Now your read ratio gonna affect your earning, which means more reads more money. If a person click on your article & skip it or left it before 30 second, then it's not gonna count as a read.

Now you can earn even more money, if your followers read & engage in your content. Which means you will earn more if your followers read your story than others.
5. End of the medium referral bonus program
