I Used AI In A Vocal Story
Remember It Is Artificial, NOT Intelligent

Introduction
As I say in the subheading, it is not intelligent, and these huge resource-guzzling data centres that are being built are not for the improvement of human knowledge and progression but for surveillance and how to sell us more "stuff". The irony being that as companies use AI to replace humans, who will have the money to buy what they are selling?
We Can Get Faster, More Detailed Results, But What Is The Cost?
I use this tool at work because I am the technical administrator on a huge finance system (official title: systems analyst). I seldom use it, but the people who do often come to me because they cannot do what they need to do, or they have some new error to deal with.
I use search engines to find answers, and have used the AI tool, but I still have to check what it tells me to make sure it will work. Usually it does, but sometimes it does not, and it is up to me and my boss to work out the solution. The tool is not always trustworthy.

I use Nightcafe for a lot of my story artwork, because Vocal says we have to have a picture or a video. I got some severe accusations of plagiarism, even though I used free credited images, so I thought that if I used Nightcafe, it would stop. Then I was accused of taking the bread from artists' mouths. No one on Vocal can afford to pay an artist their true worth.
I do write poetry based on artists' work and credit them, and hopefully that will generate sales for them. I have co-produced two books that are selling well with one artist, though I was accused by someone else of stealing the work in the books.
One of the most worrying AI developments is music. The results are something that you would not notice on the radio. I am just waiting for streaming services to bring it into their playlists, which will mean they don't have to pay any royalties.
I remember seeing a Deezer advert where the listener said, "It always tells me exactly what I want to listen to". Imagine that.
I used Suno for a poem for my great nephews, but I was uncomfortable with it. My sister and niece loved it:
This used Suno for the Vocal Harmonic Challenge in 2025, and I am not sure if any AI songs won, but I saw a lot of people congratulating the Vocal Creators' amazing songs. I used a Suno and one of me playing the guitar. The AI one sounds far more professional.

Now we come to the point of this article, the story I used AI in. It was a poem, and of course, I never use AI to write, although a friend of mine tricked me into publishing an AI poem. He told me a week after publishing, but I left it with the clarification, then I think I reused it for another piece when I couldn't publish anything new last year.
This was inspired by a special song by Curved Air. I wanted to find an article on how the song was constructed, which was very unusual in 1972. I could not find any single article, so I put a question to Google Gemini, and it came back with a usable answer.
I made some adjustments and used it in the introduction to the poem.
The reason we use computers is that they are a lot faster than we are for repetitive tasks, and I used it to gather useful information, which I tidied up and put in the article.
Conclusion
Thank you for reading, and I hope it has given you something to think about.
I'll leave with a couple of previous articles I published on the subject.
