Before going ahead into it let’s know first, how phone deals with deleted files? When you delete the files or photos from your phone that deleted file remains at that spot only without taking extra space of your phone. Once, you use that space for any new file then, the deleted file will get overwritten and that will be deleted permanently.

  • There are two ways that you can follow to secure your deleted file:-
  • Do not create any new file
  • Try to recover the deleted files as soon as possible.

We do many things with our phone and due to this you if you may by mistake installed any new apps, downloaded new video or any other activity then the deleted files will get overwritten. So, useless phone until you get the deleted files back.

I suggest you to use a computer or Mac to recover the deleted files by installing recovery software on it. If you use any android app for recovery then when you install it the deleted files will get overwritten.

Recover Deleted Files from Android

Step 4:

Now, in this step the software if checks the information on your phone. Here, it needs the root permission which is important to access the deleted files. When you see the screen like below screenshot then you have to open the connected Phone and then click on Allow/Grant/ Authorize which will grant the root permission.

After enabling the root permission, the software will start scanning the files which are deleted. Please wait for some time to get a cup of tea.

Step 5:

Now, once the software scans all the deleted files it will show all files of your phone. Now, click on the ON button which will show you all the files which are deleted. Now, select those files which you want to restore and after that click on Recover button. The deleted files will be saved on your computer.

Recover deleted files without Root?

Most of the people search for the method of recovering photos/files without rooting their Android Phone. But, there is bad news for peoples who do not have Rooted Phone. Because the deleted files go to that part of the system which is only accessible when the phone is rooted. You can’t restore deleted files until you have the rooted phone.

If you still want to get the deleted files back, then root your phone for some time until the lost files come back into your phone. After getting the files back unroot your phone anytime you want.
