Every Samsung Owner Should Do These 2 Things

You will need to go into “Recovery Mode” for both of these processes, which is pretty easy to do. First of all, you have to turn off your phone, then you can enter it by pressing and holding on volume up and the power button simultaneously, and all you got to do is wait for the phone to turn on. Once you see the Android logo, then you can let go of the buttons. If you are on the Samsung UI 3.0 and using the Exynos version of the device, you might need to plug in your Type-C headphones. I know that sounds weird, but technology is weird sometimes, and this apparently works.

Wipe Cache Partition

The first thing that we will be talking about today is called “Wipe Cache Partition.” For this, it’s usually recommended that you do it right after you update your phone as for what kind of update, it can be a new One UI version, a new Android version, or whatever other updates that will impact the installed applications. You can still do this even if you haven’t had an update. As to what this does, this process clears all the cache that some of your apps might have left from the old version, but don’t worry; this will not delete any of your data.

Once you have entered into the Recovery Mode, you can use the volume buttons on the phone's side to scroll down and then the power button to select. Scroll down until your reach “Wipe Cache Partition” and press the power button, then scroll down to Yes and press the power button again. After a few seconds, choose the “Reboot System Now.” You will have to wait a few moments for the reboot to be finished and then start going into your phone.

Repair Apps

As for this, you can do it more often than the first one. This process is even better when your phone applications are starting to slow down and become sluggish. Just a quick reminder that this whole process will last a bit longer than the previous, depending on how many apps you have installed on your phone.

As for what this process does, it re-optimizes your applications, and sometimes this is enough to help get them back to how they were behaving before.

Just like on the first part, go into “Recovery Mode” as we guide you at the start. Find “Repair Apps,” which is usually located at the end of the list. Press the power button to select “Repair Apps,” and unlike the first process where you don’t have the option to confirm or deny with a Yes or No. After choosing this, the phone will reboot, and once it's back on, you will see “Optimizing apps” and the number of apps that your phone has show on the screen (depending on the version of your software). Once the whole process is over, you can start putting your PIN into the phone and start using it just like nothing happened.

As we mentioned, you can do this process anytime you want, especially if any of the apps you are using is slowing down or crashing a lot.

Closing Thoughts

These two things mentioned here will certainly help with your phone, but be sure to follow the steps since any mistake might cause many problems on your phone.

Another thing to keep in mind is that these methods might not work all the time, sometimes the problem is much deeper, and a Wipe Cache Partition and Repair Apps might not be enough to fix it.
