The Apple iPhone 8 is truly an outstanding phone. Whether you're a fan of the unique colors it comes in such as Gold, Silver, and Space Gray or a fan of the phone's powerful specs with a A11 Bionic chip and ultra clear 12 mega pixel camera, it's no doubt why this phone is dominating the market.

There is much to love about the iPhone 8 but Samsung has just recently put a brand new powerful phone on the market that could have iPhone 8 customers swarming to it.

Samsung has just recently developed the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and it's already for sale. The Galaxy Note 8 is a powerhouse featuring six gigabytes of ram compared to the iPhone's three gigabytes of ram. The Galaxy Note 8 also rocks an outstanding 6.3 inch 1440x2960 display which resolves the demands of iPhone users for a bigger screen. Comparing this to the iPhone 8's 1334x750-pixel resolution at 326 ppi really makes the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 a tempting phone to purchase.

The iPhone 8 Plus, conversely, retains the look and feel of the iPhone 7 Plus. In fact, the two are nearly identical side by side. Thick bezels border all four sides of the flat screen and Apple’s iconic Touch ID-enabled home button sits above the bottom chin. The iPhone 8 also features wireless charging so you can simply set your phone down on the approved charging pad and charge with absolutely no wires connected to the phone. The iPhone 8 also comes with a super cool facial recognition feature. This allows you to simply have the phone scan your face with its front facing camera and you're instantly on the phone's home screen. The iPhone 8’s facial recognition feature will work “within a few hundred milliseconds,” be more secure than the existing Touch ID sensor and even work in the dark. The iPhone 8 is the first phone of the Apple lineup to offer this cool feature and hopefully it is here to stay.

The all-glass back in the S8 plus houses a single camera, flash, and fingerprint sensor. That’s all well and good for the most part, but the fingerprint scanner’s awkward placement next to the camera makes the lens pretty easy to smudge. The all glass back really makes the phone feel like it's a premium handset and really makes you appreciate the phone. The Galaxy Note 8 also features wireless charging in an approved charging pad just like the iPhone 8. The Galaxy Note 8 also has a facial recognition unlock feature but it's not that great. It has been established that the phone can be tricked and easily unlocked by using a simple picture of the user. This poses a big threat to users of this feature because now the device is open to anyone who has an image of the phone's owner.

The decision really comes down to your preference of phone as each handset has its own benefits. The iPhone 8 comes with iOS 11 which comes with plenty of cool features such as iMessage, games and a more simplistic modern looking software. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 comes running on Android 7.1.1 which also has its own special features and a cleaner looking software.

Whether you're a fan of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 or Apple's iPhone 8, both are top notch phones. Both phones have their positives and negatives but in the end the Galaxy Note 8 has a much more powerful system internal wise. They both deserve to be tried out and looked into before you set your mind on which one you want to purchase.
