NFT collectibles are hitting the market, shaking the world, and impacting the US economy. Now they hit the online gaming world.

I am inspired to write this article after reading the announcement of product development in my tech-news feed, watching some viral Tik Tok videos, and reading exciting tweets retweeted by my followers on Twitter.

One of those articles titled "NFTs Are 'Loot' in This New $21 Million Crypto Gaming Venture "was by Bloomberg released a few weeks ago. The article was focusing on the financial and investment aspect of the game by investors. However, in my article, I focus on the game's planned features, particularly related to NFTs.

I introduced NFTs in an article on News Break from the perspectives of artists and technologists.

As a technologist and online game enthusiast, I was thrilled by the announcement made by Big Time Studios recently. It is a company developing the world's first action Windows PC game based on crypto technology.

Big Time is an upcoming role-playing game with unique features compared to others. It will combine fast-action combat, the collectability of NFTs, and a history-spanning adventure to create a unique gaming experience.

The main story consists of a mysterious threat that is destroying the existence of time.

Through the game's progression, players will notice remnants of history that may be distorted due to the threat.

Bigtime brought together several world-class artists to design the visuals of this game. Players will be able to customise their characters with clothes and armour from a variety of periods in history.

Each player will also get their own time machine which will be completely customisable with their own space.

As for the unique features, Big Time is incorporating NFT items into the game. As mentioned in my News Break article, NFTs are non-fungible tokens, a cryptocurrency method to certify unique digital assets. Each NFT is recorded on a digital ledger called the blockchain.

Unlike other games where any item you acquire while playing are in reality owned by the company that created said game, the NFT feature of the game will allow players to own and hold the items they acquire. Items will be able to be earned, traded, or landed on open markets.

Players will also be able to track where an item comes from, how many of that item exists, or how many of that item will exist in the future.

Unlike other blockchain games where they expect users to set up their own virtual wallets, which can be a hassle, Big Time is incorporating the whole system directly into the game fully managed by them.

This way, it will be very simple and straightforward for players of all platforms such as Windows PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

This will also allow for instantaneous transfers and low costs. Of course, advanced users will still have the ability to transfer their items to self-hosted wallets, but the system Bigtime is incorporating will help new users in the beginning.

As a fantasy game lover, I want to explore Epoch City, a "sprawling metropolis situated at the end of the universe" as described by Chief Product Officer Thor Alexander.

Wearing my philosophy hat, I love the idea of Time to take us on a wild ride across the vast reaches of time and space.

According to the Big Time team, as players of this game, our mission will be to uncover a mysterious threat that's tearing down the very walls of time itself. History is collapsing in spectacular and explosive ways, promising unlimited adventure and some of the craziest mash-ups we have ever seen.

The Big Time video game will be free to play, but users will be able to buy items within it.

I don't know about you, but I want to want to get lost in "places with stunning vistas, evocative characters, and adventure instances ranging from the epic to the whimsical, to the downright terrifying".

Big Time's next-level design allows players the chance to collect rare NFT items, which can then be traded in-and-out of the game through patented Vault technology. Big times are on the horizon for gamers and NFT collectors.

Thank you for reading my perspectives.
