Best Tablets of 2017

Tablets were, at one point, considered to be solely for the most techy of people. However, as years passed, things changed. Moreover, the tablet market expanded dramatically, too.

It was no longer just an iPad-only world anymore, either. Android tablets and Windows tablets started to take the stage to. Today, there are so many on store shelves, it's hard to keep track.

It's getting seriously hard to keep track of the tablets that are hitting the scene now. That's why we're scoping out the best tablets of 2017.

Without a doubt, one of the best tablets of 2017 is still the iPad. Expert engineering, a sleek appearance, easy-to-use controls, and the world's largest app market is what makes the new iPad worth every penny people spend on them.

In the tablet world, Apple beats Google almost every time. Apple fans will be happy to know that the latest Apple iPad is far cheaper than its predecessors. So, if you're looking to give a tablet as a gift to that special someone, grabbing an iPad is a great way to do it.

If you're looking to beef up your tablet experience, or are just looking for a more heavy-duty tablet, then you'll quickly understand why the iPad Pro 10.5 is one of the best tablets of 2017.

This tablet has keyboard and Apple Pencil compatibility, which basically turns this into a mini-computer on the go. The iPad Pro is designed to improve productivity, so if that's what you're looking for, it's worth the splurge.

If you're loving Android, then the makers of the most popular non-Apple cellphones might have the right tablet for you. This 9.7 inch, 32 GB tablet has become one of the hottest Android tablets of all time.

Stylus and keyboard compatibility is built-in, and the tablet gives you access to all the apps you need. Along with being perfect for maximizing productivity, the Galaxy S3 tablet has some of the most stylish design work out there.

For Android fans, this is an obvious choice among the best tablets of 2017.

Size isn't everything, and if you don't need that extra inch of screen space, it's totally understandable. Most people would agree that the Apple iPad Pro 9.7-Inch version is a great contender among the best tablets of 2017.

Why? Because it has keyboard and Apple Pen compatibility, just like the larger size, at a smaller cost. Assuming you don't need tons of memory space on your tablet, this is a great option.

ASUS makes quality computers, and now, they're known for making equally high-quality tablets, too. The ZenPad packs a huge amount of memory, an iPad-like design, two cameras, and a fully-functional Android operating system.

The ZenPad is quite possibly one of the best examples of what it would look like if Android decided to make a tablet that'd make Apple envious. It's got all the function, and none of the bloated pricing—effectively making it one of the best tablets of 2017.

The Google Pixel C Tablet is designed to be one of the most useful tablets out there—and it's also positively massive. With 64GB of memory and a high definition camera that'd rival most professional setups, this tablet means serious business.

As one would expect, the Pixel C Tablet also works beautifully with smart home devices and all the classic apps you could need. If you're looking for something made by the gurus of all tech, the Pixel C is going to be a perfect choice.

The Amazon Fire Tablet has been serious fire in terms of sales, and it's pretty easy to see why. Amazon's tablet is one of the most affordable on here, offers Alexa smart home compatibility, comes with a slew of awesome content features, and an easy to navigate operating system.

The Fire OS is one that should have Google shaking in their shoes. If it gets a bit more popular, it's going to be hard to find a way for Android to compete. After all, there's something epic about being able to watch Amazon Prime sci-fi flicks on a Fire tablet.

No matter how you cut it, the Amazon Fire Tablet and the Amazon Fire HD series make for some of the best tablets of 2017 and beyond.

Once in a blue moon, you'll still find a Microsoft fan floating around the palce. The Surface Pro 12.3 by Microsoft will most likely be their top choice among the best tablets of 2017, and not only because it has a Windows OS attached to it, either.

The engineers made this Windows tablet in a way that it's designed to double as a mini-laptop. It's that functional; and for people who want to have a lot of Windows-related stuff to do, you really can't get much better.

Yes, it's another iPad. We cannot have a real list of the best tablets of 2017 without involving all of Apple's top products, simply because they are objectively excellent. For people who want the functionality and ease of an Apple iPad, without all the extra size, the iPad mini 4 makes perfect sense.

Also, with around 128GB of memory, it's clear that this iPad is built for some serious storage.

NVIDIA would make anyone feel a bit N-vious with the brand new Shield K1 Tablet. (See what we did there?) The Shield K1 boasts a quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, and handles both wi-fi and Bluetooth perfectly.

Android fans will be happy to know that the NVIDIA Shield K1 also happens to be remarkably affordable, compared to competitors of similar build. In terms of value, the Shield K1 is one of the best tablets of 2017.
