Not everyone can hack through computers for data, or sometimes for their pleasure. It's a specific type of method that involves a lot of computer skills, knowledge, and time. Overall, it's difficult as hell, but impressive as shit. Only real hackers can hack through computers without getting caught. There was even hacking before the internet existed. But most of the time, we never know who the hacker is. Don't you just want to crawl into the mind of one and see just how everything works? To witness the hacking and view the hacker's brilliance?

Well, one way to actually watch a hacking is through movies, in this case. Hacker movies are just among other films that are extremely interesting and chock-full of education on technology. You can learn a lot from these types of films — not so much the hacking part, but we can still learn something from these movies! If you're slowly becoming fascinated by it, here are the best hacker movies to start your hacker-binge watching.

The Italian Job revolves around a heist in Venice. You know when a film starts off with a heist, it’s going to be good.

After Steve kills the safecracker, John Bridger, he leaves the gold all to himself. Meanwhile, the rest of his team who helped Steve get the gold all vow to exact revenge. They even help Bridger’s daughter, Stella, capture Steve and fight back for their lost gold in his newly purchased Los Angeles mansion.

One thing you’re going to learn from this movie, for sure, is to never ever use your team for your selfish acts and be the one to gain all the credit. Because what goes around comes right back around, and they will easily plot something against you in return. And that’s what The Italian Job is all about — one of the best hacker movies.

For one of the best hacker movies out there, Code 2600 is literally all about technology and the world of the internet.

It's based on the rise of the Information Technology Age, and is told through the events and people who helped build and manipulate it. While the movie brings us on a journey of a new and growing connectivity in human relations, the price of privacy, it also shows us the importance of security from individuals, a society highlighting the wide-spanning socio-technical fallout that’s caused by data collection and cyber attacks.

For you technology-loving computer geeks out there, if you haven’t seen this film yet, I recommend you do.

Not only is this film one big bug out, but it's one of the best hacker movies of all time. And I can’t think of anyone who hasn’t watched it. But if you’re someone who still hasn’t gotten to see it, what are you waiting for?

Inception is a crazy movie, filled with puzzles and mysteries — a movie where you really have to think it all through.

Leonardo DiCaprio plays Dom Cobb, a thief who’s able to enter people’s dreams and steal their secrets from their subconscious. While he’s famously known for his skills, he’s losing what's most important to him. However, his main goal is to plant an idea into someone’s mind, and if he succeeds, it could be one of the most diabolical crimes he ever pulled.

Who knew Leo had a hacker in him?

Yes, cybercrime is an actual thing, if you didn’t know by now. And this kickass chick, Special Agent Jennifer Marsh, works with the FBI to hunt cybercriminals. However, there’s one tech-savvy killer who continues to post live footage of his crimes on the internet. The creepy side to this hidden criminal? However many hits the site draws in, the faster the victim dies…

This film is a great combination between hacking, technology, and murder! If you’re into any of them, or all of them, Untraceable won’t let you down.

Ah, The Matrix. This classic late 90s film had almost everyone going mad over it and how amazing it was overall. Everyone knows, or has heard of The Matrix. I’m emphasizing everyone, because I’m going to deny the fact in whether or not not everyone has heard of this iconic film.

For one of the best hacker movies, The Matrix revolves around Neo who believes that Morpheus, a figure who’s considered to be the most dangerous man alive, can answer his one question: What is the Matrix?

Then Trinity, a beautiful stranger, leads him into an underworld where he actually meets Morpheus, and Neo is exposed to something he's never seen before.

All I have to say about this film is…watch it. That’s it. You won’t be disappointed.

Everything you need and want to know about hackers is all jammed into this one film. For one of the best hacker movies, Hackers consists of intense internet hacking.

The film is based on a young boy who was arrested by the US Secret Service for creating a computer virus and is also banned from using a computer until his 18th birthday. Years later, the boy and his friends figured out how to release a dangerous computer virus, but they first have to find the evidence, while being pursued by the Secret Service and the diabolical computer genius using the virus.

The one and only Shia LaBeouf stars in this head-boggling film with Michelle Monaghan as two strangers who are taken away from their ordinary lives when they are “activated” as part of a high-tech assassination plot. This action-packed movie brings us through chases and mind-blowing twists while the two try to escape their enemy. But… their enemy is everywhere. What does that evenmean?

Honestly, this is easily one of my favorite films and one of the best hacker movies to watch. If you want your mind to be completely blown from the twists in this storyline — Eagle Eye is your best bet.
