When it comes to building an online website with no programming knowledge you look for a CMS that can help you in this. The easiest and popular one you will come across is definitely wordpress. Why it’s so popular?

Well, many major companies are using it cause not only is it easy to manage but also its wide collection of themes and plugins. And believe me, I am not talking over the top. Yeah, you will find other CMS for the job but not as friendly and compact as wordpress. Just with its huge collection of themes and plugins, it stands out from the rest. And let’s not forget about its huge community which has people online 24/7 and you can get almost all answers related to it.

So knowing all this you decide to use it and prepare your website using it. And at first, everything was going pretty smoothly. But after some time you suddenly see your site is down and start to panic. But panicking won’t do you any good. First, you need to come down and think of a solution. And I am going to help you with this. By telling you some of the causes that might be the reason for your site’s current state. Let’s check em out, shall we!

01. Try uninstalling plugins

This is a very basic way to check whether one of your plugins is responsible for it or not. It has been seen many times that some plugins clash with existing plugins which causes such errors.

For instance, suppose you have a video streaming platform made of word press and want to add a new chat system. But after installing you would see that your site is not responding. Now clear the fault is within the plugging but many ignore that look for other reasons. So before anythings check your plugins.

02. Be careful of null themes and plugins

Now we know there are many attractive themes in wordpress. But the ones that catch our eyes the most are premium themes. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford them. Thus they choose to use nulled theme. Well at first you may think it’s awesome. But some null themes have code like “vcd” that allows hackers to hack your site. This also applies to nulled plugins as well.

03. Being hacked

Well since your site is new you might think it’s not worth thinking about security at the moment but when your traffic increases because of your high-quality content and attractive services you would be amazed how your site will become a hot target for hackers hired by your competitors. Well, that’s mostly the case for e-commerce sites but a common reason could be because of malicious code on your themes or plugins so it’s base to set up a security system like Wordfence, BulletProof Security, All In One WP Security & Firewall, etc.

04. Check your server

One of the common things people who face wordpress internal problems tend to overlook is the server problems. At various times it’s seen that some features were unusable because the server couldn’t take the load. For instance, suppose you built a streaming platform where all kinds of streams are hosted. Such sites usually have huge traffic at a time so if your server is unable to tackle the traffic then it can lead to your site being down.

Lastly

These are some of the basic and core mistakes that you might come across. There are many others that you can check out if you search the web. Even if you are not interested in it now. But in the future, if you want to start your own website to generate an income funnel on the web. Then at the initial stage, there is an eighty percent chance that you would choose since it’s easier and popular to use than other CMS. So this knowledge will be very useful to you at that moment.
