Dangerous Cities in the World

By Dominic OdeyPublished about a year ago 6 min read

When reserving a vacation, the first question that comes to mind is generally “ Is it a safe megacity? ”. To help you out we’ve created a definitive list of the 15 most dangerous cities in the world. This list has been created using statistics linked to the number of homicides( murders) per 100,000 people in a certain megacity. Feel free to visit these places at your discretion, but don’t say that we didn’t advise you when the effects go wrong!

. Cape Town, South Africa

Since the end of Intolerance, South Africa is now being seen in a much more positive light. There's no denying though that there's still a real issue in terms of ethical pressure within the country itself. Cape Town, on the South West Coast of South Africa, had a huge population in 2017. A stunning 2,493 murders were recorded during this time. This means that for every 100,000 people in this area, just over 60 of them will be boggled.

14. Maceió, Brazi

This isn't Brazil’s only entry in this list. Maceio is a large megacity positioned in the littoral state of Alagoas. Indeed though it has a university within the megacity, the quantum of homicides in the area is shocking. In 2017 for every 100,000 people living in this megacity, 63 of them will be killed.

13. St.Louis, United States

Now this is one of the most shocking entries on the list. It's astounding that the United States has an entry on this list considering the nation's wealth. The city has a vibrant blend of ethnical distribution and is the alternate-largest megacity in Missouri. Indeed so, with its population of 311,404, an aggregate of 205 people were boggled in this area in 2017. That means for every 100,000, 65 people are estimated to be boggled.

12. Culiacán, Mexico

Like Brazil, Mexico has multiple entries on this list. Culiacan is one of the most dangerous cities in the total of Mexico. During the day Culiacan is a beautiful place to visit, but indeed locals don't venture out at night due to the sheer quantum of crime. It isn't surprising that this megacity has a poor homicide record. For every 100,000 people in Culiacan, 70 people will be boggled.

11. Vitória da Conquista, Brazil

Vitoria da Conquista is famed for being one of the most violent cities in the world, due to the large quantum of systematized crime in the area. This is reflected in their homicide statistics. Indeed though they have a fairly small population of 348,000( 2017), there were 245 murders. This means that 70 people are anticipated to be boggled for every 100,000.

10. Belém, Brazil

Just reaching our top 10 is another Brazilian megacity. Belem is known for its eschewal-of-control medicine trade, which has led to ongoing issues with policing in the area. The influence of medicines in the area has led to a huge quantum of murders taking place. Its huge population doesn't help to police matters, with over people living in this megacity. analogous to Vitoria da Conquista for every 100,000 people in this huge megacity, just over 70 people are anticipated to die as a result of homicide.

9. Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela

Ciudad Guyana is Venezuela’s first entry on this list, coming in at number nine. Police in the area are famed for their untrustworthiness, so you have to take responsibility for your own safety while in this area. noway use the underground is a high place for crime to take place. For every 100,000 people in this Venezuelan megacity, 80 people will die according to 2017 statistics.

8. Ciudad Victoria, Mexico

Another Ciudad to be apprehensive of is Mexico. Ciudad Victoria is another place where tourism isn't advised. Gang warfare has spoiled this megacity greatly, making life for ordinary people in the area veritably delicate. With its fairly small population of 330,000 people in 2017, there were 301 homicides, meaning that 91 people per 100,000 will be boggled.

7. Fortaleza, Brazil

Another citation of a megacity in Brazil. This is a beautiful area known for its strands and red escarpments. Unfortunately, this beauty has not stopped huge quantities of crime from developing in this area. It's advised to stay within sightseer areas and not to venture to certain areas of the megacity as 83 people for every 100,000 were killed in homicides in 2017.

6. La Paz, Mexico

Cocaine consumption is commonplace in this area. This means that medicine gangs frequently get into violent feuds that nearly inescapably end in death. There are also a huge number of swindles to try and force excursionists into handing over cash. Indeed though it's a fairly small community of 305,000, for every 100,000 people, 85 will be boggled.

5. Tijuana, Mexico

Mexico has the most on this dangerous list. Tijuana is on just theU.S. border and has a terrible character for crime. Indeed though it has close propinquity to the United States, the homicide rates in the area are bottomless. For every 100,000 people abiding in this megacity, 100 are anticipated to be killed. For the first time in this list, 1 of the people living in this area is anticipated to be boggled.

4. Natal, Brazi

This is Brazil’s final entry on this list. Excursionists have reported that while in Natal police will laboriously kill excursionists to try and admit backhanders

from them. Seeing as the police force is in such a bad state it's unsurprising that the number of homicides in this megacity is also ridiculously high. With people living within this megacity, 1,300 are anticipated to be killed according to 2017 numbers.

3. Acapulco, Mexic

Acapulco has lately been in the press due to the shocking figure that there are a reported 6 murders a day within the Mexican megacity. These numbers haven't been rightly supported but there's no denying that it's an extremely dangerous place to live and visit. According to sanctioned statistics for every 100,000 people living in this megacity, 108 are anticipated to be killed.

2. Caracas, Venezuela

Caracas just missed out on the top spot on our list but that doesn’t mean that you’re advised to go there. The Metropolitan Police Force in this area is known to be one of the loosest in the world, with an original Human Rights Watch suggesting that 1 in 5 crimes were committed by police themselves. Of course, without real policing crime in the area grows, as has the homicide rate. For every 100,000 people, 111 are killed within this huge megacity of around people.

1. Los Cabos, Mexico

Los Cabos is officially the most dangerous place to visit according to homicide rates. Turf battles between felonious gangs have made this popular sightseer destination a ‘no-go’ area. With its small population of just over 300,000 people, over 300 of these were killed in 2017. There are real sweats in place to help ameliorate security and policing in the area, but these haven't been successful, with the gang turf wars still reigning supreme.

Hopefully, now you have learned that these places are presumably not the ideal destinations for your coming leaves. Nonetheless, you have seen that Mexico is the most dangerous country featured on this list with an aggregate of 6 mentions. When traveling always do expansive exploration else you could end up in one of these dangerous places.

The metropolises on this list presumably aren’t ideal for your coming vacation destination. It could be said that Mexico is the most dangerous country in the world with an aggregate of six of its metropolises listed here. However, make sure that you do expansive exploration to insure that you don’t end up as another statistic If you contend on visiting these places.
