A Looking Glass
Glowing in the fields above
We see the girl laugh beyond
As we see, it’s time to play
As we see, it’s time to laugh
Playtime grows shorter each hour
As another weekend goes by
We must be moving on
We are on the run again
That day is just a memory
Like this day will soon become
Who really knows
This day is just another looking-glass
Lurking in the darkened alley
Is the boy who forgot to hurt
He fumbled in his future
Alone but never in angst
Never knowing what has past
From behind comes the smash
To look ahead is to forget the past
Maybe it is time to leave behind
Memories that come to mind
Rhythm shines if there be time
Who really knows
This day is just another looking-glass
