I wish I could open a little window onto my brain so you could see all the thoughts roiling around in there. Trying to coherently type them out just seems so overwhelming most days that I don't even bother.

Lately I've been thinking a lot about my artistic pursuits. It's hard to not just get stuck in a loop of resentment though. I hate the fact that I have to work a 40 hour a week job in order to remain fed and housed and clothed. It leaves so little time for the stuff I'd rather be doing. Writing and stitching.

My job isn't particularly demanding. I can forget about it as soon as I leave for the day and I can usually do personal bits and pieces throughout the day, like keeping an eye on email, the occasional social media check, paying bills, etc. I usually write these journal prompts during work hours.

I have been thinking for a while about starting a blog to write more about my stitching so that I can combine my two pursuits. I think I've come up with a workable solution. I will write extended social media posts. That way I don't have to write a whole blog, but I will write more about my process, my inspirations and how I got to my finished piece.

I need to get better at taking photos of things in progress though, so I have content for this. Post one will be about being accepted as a vendor for Fybe. Post two will be about dying with tea.
