Hello everyone! It's been a very long time since I've posted an update. First off, I apologize to anyone who may have missed out on some of the amazing writing I've done over the years. The past few years have been hard on me and my family. My mother is in a long-term care facility in a completely different state, and there's been family drama regarding my lack of pregnancy, arguments about money, etc. Pretty much anything that involves changes, resulted in a fight. The second thing is, I went to nursing school! A huge change in my social and work life.
Took classes for a year, then finally got selected for admission into an LPN program. Did very well for a semester, then failed out because the math was ridiculous. I re learned everything from books, flash cards, worksheets, anything that I could find. The board allowed me to come back. Yay! I was so excited! I got passed some huge milestones and did well in clinical rotations, and got onto the Dean's List! These accomplishments didn't last long. A week before my senior semester, I came down with an infection. It caused me a lot of pain and nausea. So bad that I had to be hospitalized for two days, resulting in missing critical clinical days. I was removed from the program for the second time. No longer allowed to try again.
So, what happened next? I got treated for my issues, lost a significant amount of weight, went through a spiral of depression and insecurity, then, I sought out help. My doctor recommended therapy. Due to how much I had been through over the past few years. And I'm glad I did! The therapy lady helped me out so much. Made me realize that I can start over and try again in anything I want to do. So I did!
I made a writer's alias Rain Dayze, and started writing again. I got published on another platform named Inkitt. Not that I don't love Vocal, I do, but to increase exposure for the stuff that matters, I chose to write for both. I will be posting Vocal exclusive stuff, but if you guys want to truly support me, check out my other work. Inkitt will also have stuff exclusive to it, as well!
