Kids being
interested in learning maybe, but
noticing what is around them more in
determining what
everybody else is doing
rather than learning what the teacher is teaching, but
gathering information in
another way
rather than listening
totally
engrossed in play and learning that way which makes being a kindergartener
noteworthy in a way.

So, what is Kindergarten? I remember when I walked one day into a Kindergarten classroom and it was decorated in a fun way with a rocking chair for reading and little tables and chairs where various other academic skills will be taught in fun ways. Kindergarten is the time to use play to learn like using blocks, art materials, and other toys that teach ideas in order for these five-year-olds to make transitions that are important in life and learning.
