Walmart Witchcraft
supplies

About a year and a half ago, I needed some materials for a severing charm and a binding charm, specifically, white fabric, black cord, and candles. Walmart seemed like the closest place that would have all of that.
I parked my car and strode in with purpose and found the candles, dropped them in my basket and navigated myself to the craft aisles. As I browsed, a salesperson approached me and asked if she could help me find anything. I told her I needed white fabric, and she asked what I needed it for.
I hesitated, wanting to say about seven different things, beginning with “none of your damn business,” but I held all of my thoughts back and gave the most honest, simple answer I could, expecting it to result in a judgmental look and being left peacefully alone.
“Witchcraft,” I blandly replied. I was shocked by the response I received: her face lit up, and she said, “Oh, over here is probably what you’re looking for. Also, there are tarot cards in the clearance bins in the back for seven dollars.”
She was correct—what I needed was exactly where she said it would be, and there were indeed tarot cards for seven dollars in the back. In addition to my witchcraft supplies, I bought one of the clearance tarot decks (can’t have too many decks), came home, and worked my magic.
