A recent leak has surfaced, purportedly revealing the design of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24. These leaked images, presented as 360-degree renders, indicate that Samsung is departing from the rounded-edge design of its predecessors in favor of a flat-edged design. The anticipated release date for this phone is early 2024. The initial leak came from Steve McFly, also known as @OnLeaks, in collaboration with the website Smart Prix, providing a comprehensive look at the device's design.

The 360-degree renders showcase a back design reminiscent of previous Galaxy phones, featuring three vertically aligned rear cameras without a surrounding camera block, similar to the most recent Galaxy S23 design. Notably, the renders also highlight a specific design choice: the presence of metal sides on the purported Galaxy S24 model. This design element draws comparisons to recent iPhones, which have metallic and flat sides, in contrast to the Galaxy S23 model, whose sides match the color of the back cover. However, it's crucial to approach these renders cautiously, as they are typically based on specifications and documents and may not accurately represent the final material and color choices, especially if Samsung has not yet finalized the device's appearance.

Nevertheless, SmartPrix points out an intriguing detail in the render – the visible placement of an ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna on the phone's side. This departure from previous Galaxy models, where the antenna was concealed within the device, suggests a more noticeable antenna design for the Galaxy S24.

Concerning overall design and dimensions, the Galaxy S24 is expected to closely resemble its predecessor. SmartPrix predicts that the Galaxy S24 will have dimensions of 147 x 70.5 x 7.6 mm, which are nearly identical to those of the Galaxy S23 (146.3 x 70.9 x 7.6 mm). Additionally, the only other predicted specification is a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is expected to remain largely unchanged from the previous model.

Furthermore, Steve McFly has also leaked renders for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus in collaboration with GizNext. These renders exhibit a striking resemblance to the ones for the standard S24 model, once again featuring a metallic finish on the side frame. The leaked information for the S24 Plus also includes potential dimensions of 158.5 x 75.9 x 7.75mm, which are nearly identical to last year's S23 Plus (157.7 x 76.2 x 7.6 mm).
