Hollywood, located in Los Angeles, California. Was incorporated over 123 years ago in 1903. And in 1910, it merged with Los Angeles, making it the number one place so many called home.
Film studios, like Paramount pictures, Walt Disney Studios, Warner Bros, Sony Pictures, and Universal Pictures all had the same vision, and that was to make amazing content like no other and to turn people into Stars.
But what was it about this place that everybody wanted to be a part of. Was it the hope of being able to turn dreams into reality. Like having money in the bank, a house on the hill with a white picket fence, or the vehicle you always wanted.
Or was it all about the entertainment, just being in show business. Seeing their name in lights and on billboards or being viewed by millions around the world. Whatever the case may have been, it made them happy.
But now in the 20th century, 2026 to be exact, this new thing called AI, is creating new life into the entertainment business that has never been done before. Causing such an uproar, it is putting actors' back against the wall.
With this new technology, it's literally causing them to make an important decision. Decisions that can help them elevate their careers or decisions that can take away what they love to do best and give it to artificial intelligence. Which is a machine that never asked for a day off, a pay raise or any Capital at all.
It is ready, willing and able anytime free of charge. We're actors that have been in the business for quite some time, and want a certain amount of money. Production companies can just put AI to work and do it instead for free or way less than what the actor or actors would charge.
If they choose to use AI instead of real actors, what will happen to the iconic location, and the name Hollywood, we have all known for so many years. Would it still be needed?
A Birds eye view of things. Production companies like Sony Pictures or Walt Disney studios use big buildings and a lot of land to produce their movies and TV shows. Because you have staff, stages, and actors, all working together as a team to produce great content.
But with AI, all you need is computers, a small staff and data centers. I believe more companies would choose AI over real actors. Because it's more profitable and less overhead. Breaking it down even more, say a real actor doesn't like a particular script for a scene in the movie or even the amount of pay they're seeking they can protest about it or simply refuse and walk away.
But with AI whatever the production company wants it gets just that simple. After while it's going to be very hard to tell what is real and what is fake. Like are these real actors in this movie or is it AI generated. Or was this movie or television show made in a studio with a live audience, or AI That's all. Is that a real audience that is clapping and laughing when the actor says something funny on the show, or is it all AI generated too.
Could you imagine a world with no more real actors, no more real studios, no more live audience, no more Hollywood the way that we all know it best. Replacing it with AI artificial intelligence, what would this world look like, be like. Something that makes you go hmm…
