The Economy Can't Handle Higher Oil
This Economy Needs A Break
The price of oil used to be under $45 a barrel, which made it so much more affordable at the time. But if you looked further back in the day, around the '90s it was much cheaper than that.
America was so happier back in the 90s, because everybody was able to tap into the American dream. Owning a home, buying a car, or just having a few dollars in your pocket was the life to live.
So why is everything starting to take a different turn? We're buying a home used to be so close, now seems so far. Potential home buyers are now being priced out of the market, because of inflating home prices.
Just to buy a few items of groceries is now 2 to 3 times more the cost. And the farmers that produce the crops, have their back against the wall because of the high tariff impact. It's getting harder and harder to put food on the table now.
Families, or getting so frustrated because now they are living paycheck to paycheck, and finding it more and more harder to pay the bills, and for some just trying to survive is becoming impossible in this economic downfall.
Now with the war in Iran, it is like adding layer on top of layer on top of layer. Gas prices are over $3.50 a gallon. Right now going back to the scooter days, doesn't sound too bad. From reports oil prices could reach as high as $200 a barrel. If that was to happen the economy itself would collapse.
Taxpayers, spends a lot of money paying taxes, in the United States of America. But instead of getting more for your money you are getting less and less, and sometimes it feels like you get nothing. The big businesses gets a variety of tax breaks, and the American people get more taxes to pay. There is something seriously wrong with that picture.
The American people are the ones that are out here working hard, day in and day out. They should be the ones to get the tax breaks, not the big corporations.
And the war, there should be no war. It should be about making sure the American people are taken care of. Farmers, Blue collar workers, better healthcare, great paying jobs should be the main focus. Not AI because AI can't pay bills, AI can't spend money, AI don't need groceries, the people do.
The people around the world, including the United States of America are the economy. They are the ones that work, feed and fund the businesses that we all know. When we get back to making sure that the people are taken care of and appreciated, focusing less on hatred, evil and enemies.
And focus more on peace, love, kindness, and thinking about others more than ourselves. We can go a lot further, be a lot better, and truly make this world a better place.
A Brief Update!
As of June 18th 2026, the economy is starting to get some relief on gas prices. The price of oil is now around $75.45 a barrel, which is much much lower from its all time highs of over $100 a barrel. Has the time finally arrived, where everyone around the world can start smiling again because it's not going to cost them an arm and a leg just to pay for a gallon of gas.
I believe so, so for now enjoying more savings in your pocket, and more gas in your vehicles, will definitely help the economy shine again.
