The Art of Writing

Where words become refuge, reflection, and release

By Andrea FabrePublished about a year ago • 1 min read

It’s a way to escape reality,

a way to travel through time,

to dream with your eyes wide open.

It’s a refuge, a warmth, a hug to the heart.

It’s touching old wounds,

being honest while telling lies,

creating stories out of your life.

It’s going anywhere without moving,

connecting with your past,

giving meaning to your present,

and letting your imagination run wild.

It allows you to inhabit strange worlds,

to create new landscapes,

to see through different eyes.

It’s the healthiest way to face yourself,

a divine path to self-discovery,

a way to empathize with others,

the most beautiful way to be present.

It is therapy.

It is art.

It is writing.

It’s where you dust off old memories,

to bury them… or to chase them.

Don’t be afraid to let the ink flow.

Andrea Fabre

Writing, for me, is a way to travel wherever I want, to explore the world through experiences and different perspectives. It’s a way to stay awake, to navigate through time, and to make sense of everything in between.
