Talking Hearts Cards
Couples edition, day 10
Talking Hearts couple's edition cards prompts:
What's the best compliment you've ever received from a stranger?
How do you want to celebrate your next personal milestone?
Talking Hearts cards
Best Compliment
John: Women walking by me, and saying WOW!
Denise: when flexing?
John: Not necessarily.
Denise: To go along those lines. Flirty comments from guys over the years, and compliments on how I look from other women.
And most recently a comment from a girl in my laughter yoga class that said she liked my red lipstick.
Then I asked her if she thought I was too old to wear purple on top and red on the bottom. Am I too old for that? As she thought about that it appeared she was picturing that and decided to say there are red hat ladies who wear purple. Then, she didn't say yes or no, but she put me in the red hat ladies group.
Celebrating the next milestone
John: Dying? (We laughed!) No, jumping on my motorcycle after my ankle is all healed up and I'm ready to ride!
Denise: When the book I am writing is published! I want a party with the women I had conversations with and anyone they want to invite.
Talking Hearts couple's edition cards prompts:
How would you define a healthy relationship?
What class would you enjoy taking together?
Talking Hearts cards
Healthy Relationship
John: It is where you can speak about anything, and you are comfortable with each other.
Denise: Love and respect the individual, their family, that includes differences. Being honest and able to talk about anything in the relationship, even the hard stuff. Acceptance of the others limits. Laugh and cry easily with each other.
A class to take together
John: A computer class.
Denise: I'm not so sure I want to learn much more on the computer. I'm already on the computer too much. However, I support you taking a class if you want to learn the computer. And I would go with you if you want, but it wouldn't be for me.
I would prefer an art class or theatre class, or a welding class to include art and design.
Talking Hearts couple's edition cards prompts:
What will you be nostalgic for in 15 years?
Have you ever seen or met a celebrity?
Talking Hearts cards
Nostalgia in 15 years
John: Working out. I would be 91 and probably not have a work out program every day anymore. And I don't think I will still be living at age 91, but if I was nostalgic about anything it would be the good old days when I was fit.
Denise: I for sure won't make 15 years. I have too many health issues. However, if I am still here at 87, I will look back at riding motorcycle, kids stuff, the work I have done and that I'm doing now.
Celebrities I have seen or met
John: Bob Hope, Connie Stevens, Stella Stevens - movie stars while in the Army.
Frank Quilici - Twins baseball player and manager - He sat at our table at dinner at a work function.
Louie Anderson - I was friends with his brother.
Paul Revere and the Raiders, the Beach Boys, George Jones, Georgette Jones, Dwight Yokum - in concert.
Duane Bobick, Scott LeDoux - Boxing champions, in the top 10 at the time.
Denise: I have gaps in my memory. So, I can think of Rush and Styx in concert back in the 70s. Then I went to a couple concerts with my daughter more recently; Pink was one, and that was the best. And I went to Chicago with a friend for a concert. It was her favorite singer.
I haven't been to much live entertainment besides that. I saw Georgette Jones recently, and a few comedians that I can remember, like Jim Gaffigan, George Lopez and a few others, that I don't know if you can call celebrities.
