Sinking Ships

The Sea Of Broken Souls

Every drunken kiss gets abducted by the abyss of misconceived thoughts that fool us into believing we have a genuine connection.

In reality, we are solely feeding off each other's despair and disparity while pointing fingers elsewhere, too petrified to admit that all we experience in this life we subconsciously create ourselves.

We cling to any source that brings us temporary happiness until we realize it's all an illusion, then we get bored and relocate our attention to something new and temporary.

We are all too broken to truly trust and believe in one another, so we fall in lust instead of love and when shit gets too "real", we sink the ship and swim on to the next.

A vicious storm of broken hearts shattering as the missing pieces sink to the bottom of the sea never to be found again, leaving all of the wounds exposed with no chance of healing.

We are a lost generation, brainwashed by this false sense of reality for which we have destroyed ourselves to abide by, all whilst losing the real meaning of living a genuine and fulfilled life.

We Are Pirates of The Sea of Broken Souls.

You hit the proverbial nail on its head. I know many people like this and they would probably tell you that I fit right in (but I'm really trying not to); I'd rather be me but that isn't easy, now, is it?
