She dies

Out of ordered predation

Running from vulturine strawmen

Kiss the lebensraum lips and call them your own

Drop her down, further, farther still, STAY

Father knows best

Presenting pasts of paternalism, futureproof sway?

Not a fucking chance

Suffragettes saved the sisterhood

Braving pheromonic elements as our own hands

Wander across concubine bait and bosom

Electing to act first, think last, never speak

Didactical enactment keeps the world SpiNniNg - and women?

“Safe”

The societal gifting, legs up in step-by-step-so-survive stoicism

Honey-colored pews, clothed rows of God-botherers

There's no synonym for P-A-T-R-I-A-R-C-H-Y

She's free to choose, her body her onus her... will

Caste votes cast amid cathartic lies

Sweetened the ripening idealism growing

Pains for nine neoteric months, what a woman (!!!)

She's ahead of canonical curves

Voluminous, we crave hers

Ownership begets megalomaniacal creation

Creedence of feminine alma mater augury

Forego education, lest we ergo

She lives

Main Meaning of the Poem The poem describes how women have historically suffered under systems controlled by men, yet continue to survive, resist, and reclaim freedom. The title “Mankind reenacts” suggests: Society keeps repeating the same harmful patterns across generations. Line-by-Line Explanation “She dies / Out of ordered predation” This means women are harmed by systems designed to control or exploit them. “ordered” = organized by society “predation” = being hunted or abused It suggests oppression is not accidental — it is systematic. “Running from vulturine strawmen” “vulturine” = like vultures (predatory) “strawmen” = fake arguments or false ideals This symbolizes women escaping manipulative social expectations and dangerous male-dominated systems. “Kiss the lebensraum lips and call them your own” “Lebensraum” was a Nazi term meaning “living space.” Here it symbolizes: domination, ownership, forced control. The poet criticizes societies where women are pressured to accept oppression as normal or even loving. “Father knows best” This mocks traditional patriarchal beliefs that: men should control women, fathers/husbands know what is “right.” The poem rejects this idea. “Suffragettes saved the sisterhood” This references the women’s voting rights movement. Meaning: women fought courageously for freedom and equality, progress happened because women resisted oppression. “Electing to act first, think last, never speak” This criticizes societies where women are expected to: obey, stay silent, avoid expressing opinions. “Didactical enactment keeps the world SpiNniNg — and women? ‘Safe’” The strange capitalization (“SpiNniNg”) suggests chaos or sarcasm. The poet questions the idea that controlling women keeps them “safe.” It implies: society uses “protection” as an excuse for restriction. “There’s no synonym for P-A-T-R-I-A-R-C-H-Y” This is one of the poem’s strongest lines. Meaning: patriarchy is a unique system of power and control, its effects cannot be softened with nicer words. “She’s free to choose, her body her onus her... will” This references bodily autonomy: women choosing their own future, freedom over their body and identity. “onus” means responsibility. “Pains for nine neoteric months” This refers to pregnancy and childbirth. “neoteric” means modern or new. The poet honors women’s strength and sacrifice. “Forego education, lest we ergo / She lives” This ending is deeply ironic. Historically, women were often denied education to maintain male control. The poem ends by showing survival: despite oppression, despite control, despite repeated history. “She lives” becomes a declaration of resilience.
