Ophidiophobia My Number 1 Fear

When did this start?

By Louise Blake-Michael (Risen Phoenix)Published 10 months ago 1 min read

I had to pick a animated snake for this fear. I can't overcome this fear, I know that. Ophidiophobia is fear of snakes right down to even seeing photos, or videos.

I have never seen a snake in a long time.

I can remember as a girl when it was around Christmas time my grandma would put a snake in front of her closet. She would say the ceramic king cobra would come to life and bite me. This ceramic snake was so realistic I was afraid.

Sorry that happened with the Cobra. I love snakes, not sure why but I’ve always thought they were really cool. That being said, I get why they’re scary. My biggest fear is black widows, which is weird, because I LOVE spiders. All spiders except the black widow! Not sure why that specific one bothers me so much, because there are other more deadly spiders that don’t scare me. Fear is a weird thing.
