Not everyone promotes themselves
I care more about the writing being useful
Some of my Facebook followers asked me why, as a writer, I don't promote myself more.
I don't know. I guess I've never felt the need to convince people to read what I write. My writing finds the people it's meant for.
Someone reads something, sends it to someone else, saves it, comes back later. That's always felt more natural to me.
I care more about the writing being useful to someone who's been through too much and isn't ready to talk about it than I care about being seen as the person who wrote it.
Every single time.
