Medium Suspended My Account… So Here I Am
Introducing myself

My account on Medium has been suspended.
I'm not sure why.
I was on Medium and suddenly I saw this red message informing me that my account had been found in violation of the Medium rules.
My heart immediately skipped a beat and my mind began to race. I tried to think about what I had done wrong. Was it my most recent article that contained the F bomb? But that's nothing new for me.
Was it because I replied to a comment saying that I was limited on the platform by how much I could publish without looking like spam?
I couldn’t figure it out.
I read all the terms and conditions and still felt just as clueless, so I have lodged an appeal.
I feel like a bit of a bad ass having a suspended account. There is a certain thrill that comes with being a rule breaker. But when I don't know what I've violated, the thrill and suspense is solely in not knowing.
I was a paid member, so to not even get an email, just a generic message, is a little hurtful.
Here I was thinking we got along.
It's like being ghosted by a partner or having them break up with you via text.
So impersonal.
But I'm not one to sit and wait. Life keeps moving, and so do I.
So I continue to write, but I'm looking for a new home.
I haven't been writing for long. I only began writing last year in July, by keeping a personal diary. It wasn't until late January this year that I stumbled across Medium and began writing for other people's eyes.
So after seven months of building an audience and engaging with others, I really felt like I had found my home.
But as with everything else in my life, nothing is as it seems.
I do firmly believe that rejection is redirection. Many of my articles spoke about this.
Perhaps Medium will allow me back. Perhaps not.
In the meantime, I'll find somewhere where I belong. Right now I'm in the air flying, I just am not quite sure where I'll land.
My writing isn't limited to any particular topic, but I tend to write pieces with life lessons. I never tell my audience what to believe. I'mnot one to preach or seek validation or approval. I simply write my thoughts and encourage everyone to form their own opinions.
Take what resonates. Leave what doesn't.
Agree or disagree. It doesn't faze me.
I don't believe in one universal truth, just the truth that's right for you. We are all individuals with our own paths to walk, and I respect individuality.
I do have a few questions, if anyone feels like answering.
Most of my Medium articles were published on a publication called Illumination. Am I allowed to bring them over here, or would I be plagiarising myself?
Can anyone even see my articles if my account is suspended?
Also, anonymity is very important to me. On this platform, it asks for Stripe details, which include my real name and phone number.
Is this visible to anyone, under any circumstances?
If I was to tip someone, or they were to tip me, can they see my details?
I would love to hear from you.
So perhaps I should hit publish and see what happens.
Will I fit in here?
Let's see…
