"Happy Birthday" song, psychological torture, and a smarter and more attractive spouse

To tell the truth that hasn't happened yet. I will usually go out to dinner with my husband only and I haven't been sung to and I won't be letting him read this prompt.

It has probably been 30 years since I began celebrating my birthday all month long. I do not mind being sung to any time during that month. Because I celebrate all month, I usually get a song a time or two. I have also sang "Happy Birthday" to others throughout the year and still do. Very rarely in a restaurant but it does happen.

While experiencing a therapy called EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), the emotional torture that can come up from trauma is the worst. I know that by processing that trauma, you can come out the other side with a done feeling, and relaxed with the knowing that the psychological torture is over.

When thinking about this question now, I realize that I have never thought about that before. There was always an initial attraction. And I remember thinking how he was fit. I meant for us to just be friends only as we had so much in common. That is not what he had in mind though.

He won and it didn't take long, so as I said he is smarter about some things.
