diary entry

By Caroline ZoppeltPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

I can’t wrap my head around it. It has been following me for days—like a sly black panther. And when I’m alone at the end of the day, it attacks, ripping out my heart. I want to scream. Nine hundred times a day. My thoughts pile up inside my head. I start crying. I feel so stressed out—how will I ever think about everything? I am deeply convinced that when I reach that point—when I have thought about it all—I will be at peace. My life has been in shambles since he left. When I think about him somewhere else—not a text or call away, unreachable, alone—my heart is ripped out again. Again. And again. And again.

My heart is ripped out of my chest every single night.

Will it ever be whole again?
