Goodbye Sasha: The End of an Era
The Dutch Post — 17 November 2138
Just a few minutes shy of her 148th birthday, beloved public figure Sasha Desideri passed peacefully in her sleep tonight.
With her usual candour, her last words have been recorded uncensored on the MindNet:
That's it, I'm out! Oh, shoots, the darn thing's still on: I don't want these to be my last words...
Argh, whatever! I'm dying anyway.
Piece!
— Sasha Desideri on the MindNet, 16-11-2138
The ThoughtStream continued with several minutes of NSFW images of the woman's late partner's bottom.
The MindNet will grieve the loss of "Everyone's Sweetheart" as much as that of its accidental creator.
"It's hard to believe that it all started with a censorship compliance issue!"

The first woman to ever achieve the status of Quadrillionaire, Sasha had a surprisingly communist stance on money.
After mobilizing all her assets in favor of a selected list of charities and turning all of her companies into non-profits, she found a peculiar way to handle author rights.
In a move that surprised nobody, she completed the adoption of another 20 adult "children" in the last months of her life — bringing the total to 100 — effectively minimizing the expected income.
"Those author rights are pesky like that; you can't just sign them away [...] Nobody should inherit that much money".

It's hard to find words to describe a woman with such a major presence in so many different fields.
Dubbed "The Most Prolific Author of All Time", Sasha published over 10.000 certified AI-free books under at least 100 different pseudonyms, but as we review her private thoughts and memories, the number seems destined to increase.
Ranging from children's books to scientific divulgation, from poetry to philosophy of medicine, she brought all of her eclectic interests to the written page.
But her productivity did not stop there.
With hundreds of movies, TV series, video games, songs, ThoughtStreams, and Podcasts, Sasha was a true mediatic polymath.

A late bloomer, very little is known of Sasha's life before 2022. The author herself would often declare:
"It was like a 100 years ago, how should I remember?"
Sasha Desideri, Too Often To Specify
The irony of these words is not lost on us, as Sasha famously won several memory tournaments worldwide.
However, as the author had no social media presence and all her journals from before meeting Raemon were destroyed, we can only rely on an analysis of her private memories to try and piece together those years.
Which could prove to be a useless effort, according to the rumors that Sasha underwent elective brain-scraping surgery.
In several interviews over the MindHive, she places the true beginning of her career in 2026, when she started blogging on a platform called "Vocal" over the old "interweb", the predecessor of the MindNet.
"Blogging on Vocal was a huge turning point in my career: it reminded me of what I loved doing.
And the community there was so amazing that I felt like I didn't suck too badly at it.
You know, every beginner needs to feel like they don't suck too much at what they love. Then they can keep at it and become better over time."

2026 was also the year of a few unsuccessful books published under different unsuccessful pen names. Including the collection of poems "Why am I even doing this?" and its sequel "No, seriously, why do I keep doing this?", which later gained the status of cult for the portrait of resilience in the face of insecurity that characterized the woman's career.
But it's only in 2032 that Sasha's writing really started picking up, with her first three novels seeing the light of day.
"Rosamunde", "Loving Glitch", and "Redacted", which had a lukewarm reception on debut, later became a tremendous hit when the then-aspiring director Lily Van Der Lelie made them her passion project.
With both kids in school, I finally had the time to work on all those projects that were sitting on the back burner of my mind.
It was exhilarating!
Although it must have looked boring from the outside... I really just sat down a lot. My poor Raemon had so much patience.

And she has not stopped sitting ever since!
After her creative career truly picked up, Sasha used her money to become one of the first female philanthropic entrepreneurs. Mothering, amongst others, the modern HoloWorks and the WorldRails.
For our youngest readers, the previous generations used "Fireworks" — paper tubes filled with dangerous chemicals they would set on fire and shoot into the sky, causing massive air pollution issues and health hazards — and transported people with non-electric vehicles called "planes" and "boats" that burned chemical compounds and released their exhaust in everyone's air and waters.
Those were crazy times!

Her private life was not devoid of adventure, as Sasha and Raemon streamed on their podcast "Old As Balls", and on MindHive Xtreeëm.
A very notable moment was the arrest for outraging public decency that cost Sasha and Raemon a few weeks in jail in 2090, which followed the couple's NSFW adventures, shared on MindMedia.
Sasha: I've always admired Bertrand Russel, but they don't put you in jail for protesting against war anymore.
Raemon: So... next best thing?
Sasha: Free love!
Raemon: Yeah! Free love! Next best thing!
Sasha: But then, they were so afraid we would die in prison that they decided to let us go.
Raemon: Dummies!

The last couple of decades of the author's life are overshadowed by grief.
After Raemon's passing, at the ripe age of 124, Sasha is rumored to have completely lost her mind.
She took many unnecessary health risks, most famously volunteering for the first-ever organic-to-synthetic body transplant, a cutting-edge medical innovation procedure, where all nerve tissue of a sick patient is transplanted into a new bioprinted healthy body, which left her with several counts of paralyzed muscles.
The approval of the procedure is currently pending international investigations.
It's ok to experiment on me. I am so old that if I die on the operating table, they can say "Oh well, she lived long enough".
Sasha Desideri on the MindNet, 20-08-2122
And while Sasha had always attributed her extreme longevity to a combination of lucky genetics, money, and healthy habits, since the transplant, a lot of indiscretions have been circulating about exactly how much science and technology had to do with it.
"Only time will tell... for real! Since the author donated both her bodies to science."

One way or another, with her extremely long life and prolific career, Sasha Desideri has shaped our century, and the MindNet will not be the same without her constant bloopers and uncensored thoughts.
While fans from all over the world are gathering in the VirtualSpace to bid one final farewell to Sasha's stored avatar, MindHive 5 will be streaming the event in full.
