Free Friday Writing Prompt

The Prompts

1. songbird, thread, citadel, eclipse, captain, charity, persistent

The Rules

Roll a die or use a random number generator to select a prompt above. Or pick the one that speaks to you.

Set a timer for fifteen minutes and write without stopping for that whole time. If you don't know what to say, you can write "I don't know what to say" over and over until the next thought hits you. But no stopping.

One point for each of the seven words in your prompt you manage to work in.

Three points for completing the whole fifteen minutes without stopping.

No editing. No revising.

Let your imagination run completely and utterly rampant. Making sense is for suckers. Be wild! Be surprising!
