Drops

An announcement!

I've come up with a quirky little idea of which I've seen a version produced by smaller, sometimes vintage or upcycling stores who want to promote a particular product that is limited-edition or unique enough to not last long.

Writing "drops" will now be a quirky little thing I'll be doing every now and then. I've already fiddled with the first one, which is a poem I wrote, well, just then.

The idea: Via my poetry Instagram account, my Vocal bio and maybe my Linktree, I will share the URL to a website made on Google Sites, consisting of only one page and one of my unreleased pieces of writing. This could be poetry, a short story or anything else I might usually publish on Vocal, but for some extra ✨pizzaz✨, we add a catch!

The catch: This page will only be accessible for a random period of time, say, anywhere between a single hour to three days. After that, the site will be unpublished and the work returned to the void or perhaps added to my anthology, which is still under construction. If you read it, great - you've gotta keep the secret! If you miss it, keep an eye out for the next drop, or maybe the mystery pieces will gradually appear on Vocal over time...

I'd like to give you fabulous subscribers and Vocal friends the first opportunity to read this new piece, writing drop 01 to call it by its official title. I will be unpublishing the site at a random time on Wednesday, 27th May 2026 (AEST's tomorrow!), after which the link will be removed/no longer work.
