Doodles and Ditties Results are in!

I know you have all been sitting very patiently awaiting the results from the tiny judges... but we had to wait for the oldest one to wake up. She didn't decide to get out of bed until 11 a.m. Texas time. We have finally finished reading, rating, and judging the entries for the Doodles and Ditties challenge and the results are finally in! 🥳

First though... I'd like to thank everyone who entered and tell you all what a great job you did! The stories were adorable and the kids and I had a blast reading them. After I post the results here, I am headed my way to comment on each story and let you know what the kiddos thought. I was holding off comments until after the contest ended and the results were posted but I will be there shortly!

I was surprised by all the entries! I was scared no one would even want to enter because who am I? I didn't expect this to get as much attention as it did... but I was so happy to see SEVENTEEN awesome entries. (Not bad for my first ever unofficial challenge! You guys made a girl feel really seen. 🥹) The kids laughed and had a blast. In no particular order, here are the entries. I urge you to go enjoy them because every single one was adorable!

The story that took the most points by a SUPER tight margin was Calvin London's- I'm Just a Fat Cat, So what?

Huge congrats to you! You had my son cracking up so much, I wished I had recorded it. Somehow calling the cat fat hit him right in the funny bone. Your $10 prize should be hitting your Vocal wallet soon!
