Disappear
if you desire
Strength lies
within those
who do not

If your words
do not exist
Then my presence
you'll forever miss

Impossible stops
those without hope
Dead in your tracks
I see the end of your rope

Dehumanize me
Take aim
Moving target
you'll miss the love
you never deserved

All of me
Is more than
flesh
more than
skin

Most of me
lies within
skin does not compare
To mind
thoughts
intricate details

Anyone can fill
sexual desire
But intellectual mind
not a breeze

I am not
tangible
maybe just
Too bright

Waiting
assumes me a candle
And sweet thing
I disappear

I don't often write a poem and think it is not poetry enough, but sometimes I feel the need to rewrite simple words. I love when readers can translate script into their own meaning, it also teaches me more about the words I use and the ways they can impact.

The original words that created this poem:

Anyone can ghost someone
But it takes someone strong
To stay present
In the hardest of situations

Where physical distance
Can create space
To learn each other
in a new way
To hope
When it seems impossible

To not think of someone
As an easy target
Because they say they want it
Anyway

And if you think
I'll be waiting there
For every return
After silence
Just know
My silence
Is deafening.
