Gregory Stock, Ph.D. The Book of Questions prompts — Would you be willing to give up sex if you knew it would give you a much deeper sense of peace then you have now?

My peace comes from above

no sex or making love

would probably not be what I may give up

for peace or to fill my cup

P.S. Not in my lifetime has this ever been a consideration. I have never blamed sex on my lack of peace. I did have a year off between husbands if that is what this question alludes to and it was worth the time in between with no regrets.

Gregory Stock, Ph.D. The Book of Questions prompts — A good friend pulls off a well-conceived practical joke that plays on one of your foibles and makes you look ridiculous. How would you react?

In good-spirited fun, there is no problem. There are times I prefer not to be the center of a joke, but I take my turn and a good friend knows there is always the possibility of a payback! My foibles - the list goes on and on.

A male co-worker once said about me and another female Ojibwe / Chippewa, "I have to stop putting my co-workers in my jokes as I can tell they do not like them and I will once again be kicked out of the state!" (This was about the Dakota being pushed out of the state by the Ojibwe people.)

Gregory Stock, Ph.D. The Book of Questions prompts — How forgiving are you when your friends let you down?

Most of my friends that are in recovery will make amends and that makes it way easier to accept someone else's humanness. So much of the time it is not about me and as soon as I get honest about that it takes my bad feelings right away. Most often though I am not let down by friends.

It happens more so with family, and the same things apply to my recognizing others humanness, and my own.

Authors Note: These questions are from the 80s and it was a much different world. One of the questions I didn't answer was about AIDS, as it isn't the issue it once was for people.
