Welcome to the Library AKA, 'The Warren!'

"We're all mad here."

The idea for, 'Down the Rabbit Hole with...' was born when the realisation hit that, as well as their love of penning, both Mother Combs and Celia in Underland are inherently curious (and curiouser) about other writer's, their thought processes and inspiration as well as who they are behind the keybard, of if they're more retro cool, the pen.We weren't sure if anyone would want to be,

'interrogated' by us or if others were as inquisitive as we are. Turns out it would seem, mostly they are and there have been willing 'victims' in our joyous experiment!

So, to keep the warren tidy, we share with you our library of wonderful talent, we hope that you enjoy getting to know each of them as much as we did:

Born and raised in the Canadian Prairies, J Baz currently resides on the West Coast but he likes to call both places home. J Baz joined Vocal in February 2021 and since then has been delighting us with the delicate touch of his keyboard. Not only is he a talented writer but he is a super positive supportive force in the Vocal community; raisng up others with his gentle words of encouragement and kind comments.

Andrea, who goes by the pseudonym of Rock on Vocal, was born in Baltimore, Maryland USA in 1963 to parents from Tennessee, USA. She lived in the Nashville vicinity until she was 16 returning to Maryland for high school. Having lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico and various towns in Vermont she eventually moved to Sweden at the age of 40. Joining Vocal in June 2022, she writes from her delightful 1700’s farmhouse on Sweden's west coast, located outside of Gothenburg. She is 61 years old.

Oneg is a fabulous writer who delves into a wide range of genre and topic. A fierce advocate of the Pride community, Oneg is not only a talented wordsmith but they are also extremely supportive of other writers. As a teacher they understand the power of words and the importance of language in building self-esteem and confidence in our young people. In this week's extra special edition, we were over the moon to catch up with them about life in The Arctic and beyond, Oneg is also part of the admin team for Queer Vocal Voices on Facebook.

Kenny Penn is a fabulous writer on Vocal and beyond. Focusing on Horror and fantasy, Kenny has also started dipping his toe into poetry and is enjoying every minute. A super supportive creator and generally awesome human! Proud father of three, he currently resides with his wife and family in North Carolina.

Jim Delaney-Howe is a writing force on Vocal. Dipping his toe across the communities, he has contributed to most of the categories. Often speaking about family matters and his own persoanl experiences as a biopolar gay man. His openess and honesty about both his struggles and joys are sincerely appreciated by many. A true inspiration who consistenly supports others in the their creative journey. Jim is a founding member and admin of the Facebook group Queer Vocal Voices (QVV).

A returner to Vocal, Hayley is a the kind of writer whose pens shoots bullets of truth straight into the soul. Evoctive and beautiful, her words never fail to capture hearts. Currently a student of Enlish and Creative writing, in between her studies she works as a bartender and in an office - making sure to sneak in plenty of snuggles with her beloved feline family, CHARLIE BEAN. Not to mention her new role as a Voices in Minor mod! You can also check out her Instagram account here.

kp is a super talented writer, penning across communities their work is both delicately crafted and hard hitting. No matter the angle kp is always a captivating, thought provoking read. A passionate, dedicated teacher and advocate against social inequity, kp uses Vocal to shine a light on systemic injustice.

A fabulous story teller and supportive member of other Vocal writers. Her comments are always thoughtful, perceptive and kind. An all round lovely human being, Stephanie not only writes on Vocal but also weaves the words for a living. How cool is that?

Our lovely mod for PViM on Facebook, Keila or KJ is a wonderfully supportive voice within our community. A talented writer and equestrian with a penchant for anything chocolate we were super excited to catch up with her this week! And we were not disappointed.
