Motorola is releasing a new mid-range device that not only costs $100 less than the Google Pixel 8, but also offers some great features of its own. Introducing Motorola Edge (2023). The Motorola

Edge (2023) is a sleek phone with a curved glass aesthetic and leather finish, with a starting price of $599 in the US.

The latest Edge looks very similar to its predecessor, but this one features MediaTek's Dimensity 7030 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. This phone runs

his Android 13, but Motorola has not disclosed how many updates to the operating system it will receive. Also, the sales package does not include a charging adapter. A black Motorola Edge (2023) lies

On the front, there's a 6.6-inch HDR-capable FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) OLED display with a peak refresh rate of 144Hz and a maximum brightness output of 1,200 nits. The curved glass approach

looks

clean, and Motorola says the Edge (2023) model is IP68 certified, meaning it can withstand occasional water splashes without damaging the circuit board. I claim that.

One of the phone's biggest strengths is that it packs a 4,400mAh battery

with support for 68W fast charging, which is more than double that of the Pixel 8. Motorola says that 10 minutes of charging will give him a full day of use, and this is subjectively true. Luckily, 15W

wireless charging is also supported, along with the ability to share power with other devices at 5W speeds using the same wireless method.

On the

back, there's an optically stabilized 50-megapixel main camera that supports features like active photography, night vision, and 4K recording at 30 frames per second. The main camera has a very large

f/1.4 aperture and uses 4-in-1 pixel binning to process light data in 2-micron

superpixels.

Simply put, it lets in more light and produces shots with more detail and depth. This ultra-wide camera is based on a 13-megapixel sensor and can also take digitally cropped macro shots, while selfie

duties

are delegated to a 32-megapixel snapper.

Motorola Edge (2023) is priced at $600 and is currently available for purchase on the company's official website, Amazon, and Best Buy. The only color available is Eclipse Black with a vegan leather

finish.
