Author’s Note: The prompts that are my attempt for working on fiction.

Actions have consequences. How can the next few events result because of something your hero does?

Cards Against Normality

My hero said, “You have a choice. You can stay here in never ever land, or you can fly out with me and fight it out. This may still be a trip to never ever land for both of us.” Then she gave me the battle plan.

I listened carefully to the plan, paused, took a deep breath, thought about what I could do and couldn’t do and decided I would fight. That is what I decided to do.

And if I was going out to fight with a superhero, I would have to dress the part.

First, I would need wheels. I haven’t learned to fly. That is not one of my superpowers. Next, I will want to get my will written, and get an executor for my will, just in case something goes terribly wrong. Third, I will need prayers. I will go to my prayer chain on Facebook and ask for prayers for what I am about to do.

1. One of the vehicles below should do fine. Afterall, how far are we going and how fast do we need to get there, right? Just across town? Across the state? No, it is across country.

2. Appointment set with my lawyer for tomorrow morning. She said she can get it done immediately. She will be ready for signatures within an hour of my arrival.

3. I already asked for prayers on my Facebook prayer chain. Those comments are coming in already.

Okay, it is time to call my hero! What, she is not answering? I will call her office. She has already left? She couldn’t wait? She left without me? No. I don’t believe it! As soon as my will was in place and my outfit was finished, I would’ve been ready to fly.

Well, if she thinks she can handle this all on her own, she has another thing coming. Maybe I will fly out there and meet her at the office. The meeting is scheduled for Friday. That is three days from now. I would’ve been ready.

Maybe I should let her do this on her own. She can do it. Well, I wouldn’t mind getting some of the credit. And she may be so upset with me that she may send me to never ever land.

And then again, what if it is a bomb. It wasn’t my idea. It was hers. So, she can bomb and be sent to never ever land without me. I may make it to the top in that case. Do I want the top? Do I want something bad to happen to my superhero? No. I’m on the next plane. Like it or not!

I can always return the car, right? It will save the company lots of money. I don’t even know how much it was, I charged it to the company.

It is not the end of the world after all. All we have to do is be able to sell them on the idea that our advertisement with superhero women would be a big seller!

It would be. Jane is right! Everyone will be able to see that, right? And we will look so cute in our outfits. Hers especially is the bomb.com!
