Can’t Even Stand Out with a Title??

There is a lot nice about the Vocal update, like the extra media capabilities and word processing. I’m still finding out about all that.

There is, however, one glaring thing I can’t ignore. Why cut down and (in many cases) eliminate titles from the notifications??

I get it looks simpler, which can definitely be good for the user experience. But it’s hard enough for new stories to stand out! Now we don’t even have our titles to fall back on?!

I know, looking through my notifications, that there’s almost nothing that grabs me to any particular story. The lucky ones have the first word visible, and half the time it’s just “The.” Really??!!

I guess you have to remember your favorite authors right off the bat, or look through “Latest Stories” instead.

But god forbid someone’s off the platform for a day. And let’s say the day they return is the day you spend writing something else, but don’t get to publish it?

Anyway, just my thoughts as someone who had been relying on titles to bring in new eyeballs.
