Written by Viraj – October 12, 2023

Honor launched the outward-folding Phone Purse V last month and the Magic V2 earlier this year. The brand has announced its third foldable phone this year. The latest addition is Honor Magic Vs 2. This is the successor to last year's Magic Vs. The latest product is said to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor. In addition to the foldable device, the brand also announced the Watch 4 Pro. Read below to find out what Magic Vs 2 has to offer right away.

Honor Magic Vs 2 specifications and features

Honor Magic Vs 2 is a book-shaped foldable phone. It is considered to be the thinnest foldable phone, measuring 5.1 mm when unfolded and 10.7 mm when folded. The company says it used a rare-earth magnesium alloy to reduce the phone's weight to 229 grams. The device features a protruding rectangular camera module and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button on the right side. For added durability, Honor has introduced a titanium hinge mechanism.

The Honor Magic Vs 2 features a 6.43-inch external main display with a resolution of 2,344 x 2,156 pixels and a peak brightness of 2,500 nits. The internal screen measures 7.9 inches with a resolution of 2,376 x 1,060 pixels. Both displays feature AMOLED panels, 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. There is also a symmetrical frame surrounding the screen. On the imaging side, the Honor Magic Vs 2's triple rear camera consists of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 20-megapixel telephoto lens with up to 40x digital zoom. There is a 16MP selfie snapper on the front.

Under the hood, the Honor Magic Vs 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It has up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage. This foldable phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging. In terms of software, the device runs on MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13.

Connectivity options on the Honor Magic Vs 2 include 5G, USB-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC.

Honor Magic Vs 2 comes in Glacier Blue, Velvet Black, and Coral Purple. Prices for the base 12GB + 256GB variant start at RMB 6,999 (~$958), while 16GB + 512GB costs RMB 7,699 (~$1,052).
