I like to believe I have at least one celestial being assigned to me—someone whose job is to guide me away from impulsive choices, like texting my ex or trusting a "shortcut" from Google Maps. But lately, I’ve started to wonder: Are my guardian angels actually guiding me… or are they just sitting back with popcorn, watching my life like it’s their favourite reality show?

Signs Your Guardian Angel Has Given Up on Guidance and Moved to Spectator Mode

1. You Trip Over Absolutely Nothing

You’re walking down the street, minding your business, when suddenly—bam! You trip over air. Did your guardian angel try to catch you? Nope. They probably just sighed and made a mental note to "let natural consequences do the work."

2. You Ignore Red Flags Like They’re Just Decorations

You know that friend who gives you terrible dating advice? Yeah, your guardian angel is not that friend. They’ve been frantically waving red flags in your face, screaming “Nooo!” from the heavens, but do you listen? Nope. You’re out here thinking, Maybe this time, they’ll change! Meanwhile, your angel is filling out celestial paperwork titled "My Human Refuses to Learn."

3. Their Signs Have Gone from Subtle to Full-On Billboards

Ever ask the universe for a sign and then ignore it completely? You say, “Should I take this job?” and suddenly, your coffee foam spells out RUN! But instead of heeding the warning, you sip it while contemplating, Maybe it’s just the milk froth…

At this point, your guardian angel has switched from sending soft nudges to throwing metaphorical bricks at your head. And even then, you’re still out here like, "Wow, what a coincidence!"

4. They’ve Switched from Gentle Guidance to Sarcasm

There was a time when your angel patiently whispered wisdom into your ear. But now? Now they’re giving up and throwing irony bombs instead.

You: “I think I can handle this situation on my own.”

Life: [immediately falls apart]

Your guardian angel: “Oh wow, who could’ve seen that coming?”

5. They’ve Officially Become Passive Observers

At some point, they realized that no amount of divine intervention would stop you from making questionable choices, so they’ve stopped trying. Instead, they just sit back, sip their celestial tea, and watch as your life unfolds in spectacularly chaotic fashion.

They probably even have a group chat with other angels titled “My Human is at it Again.”

But Maybe, Just Maybe, They’re Still Rooting for Us

Despite their frustration, I like to think my guardian angels haven’t fully given up. Sure, they roll their eyes. Sure, they sigh a lot. But deep down, they’re still hoping that one day, I’ll actually listen.

And hey, if nothing else, I hope they at least enjoy the show.
