Amor Fati

Endless stream of pointless suffering …

None of us are alien to pain and suffering. And when the pain gets deeper, somedays it even feels like the world is just an overwhelmingly dark place. Everyone seems to be grappling with their share of grief, shame and disappointment.

Life should have a sub-heading - an endless stream of pointless suffering!

And then one day, just out of the blue - there is one solitary glimmer piercing through all of this chaos. It usually happens when we expect it the least - while baking a cake, or driving on the highway, or reading a poem or simply staring into space. You realise that life isn’t dark and meaningless at all.

Infact it’s the exact opposite!

Our individual lives are beautiful fabrics woven with glory, joy, happiness, peace, lessons and growth.

Every loss, every setback, every heartbreak was infact the universe protecting you. It was the universe keeping you on track to keep weaving this fabric.

The universe isn’t working against you but is constantly working for you and is infact your very own guardian angel, gently nudging you towards what is truly meant for you.

To quote Nietzsche,

My formula for greatness in a human being is amor fati: that one wants nothing to be different, not forward, not backward, not in all eternity. Not merely bear what is necessary, still less conceal it but love it.

At the same time, I want to acknowledge the immense pain and suffering that many individuals endure due to overwhelming tragedies. My intention is not to minimize or overlook the gravity of these experiences, but rather to offer a perspective on finding strength and meaning in the face of life's everyday challenges. I do not claim to know or understand everything.

Superb - especially this: The universe isn’t working against you but is constantly working for you and is infact your very own guardian angel, gently nudging you towards what is truly meant for you. Good job!
