The All New Harley Davidson X440 Launched At ₹2.29Lacs

Harley-Davidson is preparing to unveil its new X440 motorcycle in India on July 3, offering an affordable option for motorcycle enthusiasts. Developed in collaboration with Hero MotoCorp, the bike will be showcased through a livestream on Harley-Davidson India's YouTube channel starting at 7:20 pm. Let's take an exclusive first look at the motorcycle and explore its potential specifications.

The Harley-Davidson X440 boasts a neo-retro design, reminiscent of the now-discontinued XR1200X. Its features include a circular LED headlight, a horizontal LED DRL adorned with the iconic 'Harley-Davidson' logo, and a robust fuel tank, giving it a muscular appearance.

Under the hood, the Harley-Davidson X440 is equipped with a 440cc, single-cylinder, 2-valve, oil-cooled petrol engine. This powertrain generates a maximum power output of 27bhp and a peak torque of 38Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission, providing a smooth and versatile riding experience. The X440 is designed with a wide and flat handlebar and a flat seat, ensuring comfortable ergonomics for riders. The motorcycle features all-metal components, including the front fender, rear fender, fuel tank, and side covers. Additionally, it introduces a segment-first seamless fuel tank design. The bike rolls on MRF tires, which embrace its 18/17-inch alloy wheels. Braking duties are handled by a 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc, with the added safety of a dual-channel ABS system.

The X440's sturdy build is supported by a steel tubular frame, complemented by a USD fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear, providing stability and smooth handling on various road conditions.

Illuminating the way is an LED projector headlamp with a distinctive LED DRL, while the taillamp and turn indicators also feature LED technology. The motorcycle incorporates a 3.5-inch instrument cluster with a TFT digital display, offering two display modes for optimal visibility during both day and night riding. Moreover, it includes the 'Connect 2.0' feature, which delivers more than 25 notifications related to safety, security, vehicle health, and driving reports. Additional connectivity features include Bluetooth-enabled turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts, and a find my vehicle function.

The Harley-Davidson X440 is available in three variants: Denim, Vivid, and S, each offering unique features and finishes. The Denim variant showcases a Mustard color option with spoke wheels, while the Vivid variant presents a dual-tone scheme in Metallic Thick Red and Metallic Dark Silver, accompanied by alloy wheels. The S variant stands out with a Denim Black color scheme, 3D branding, premium finishes, machined alloy wheels, gold-colored engine and body parts, machined engine fins, and the comprehensive 'Connect 2.0' package.
