In his poem, Cang Yang Gyatso wrote, "Things follow the mind, the situation is created by the mind, and troubles are all created by the mind." If the mind is free of distractions, complicated strife can be turned invisible. But stillness is not only created by the heart, when wandering the car river, a quiet cabin can be isolated from the outside world's traffic, allowing the driver to focus more on the chaotic road conditions in front of him, but also allows the passenger to enjoy the comfortable atmosphere inside the car more comfortably. The all-new Lincoln Mariner Nautilus, which went on sale earlier this year, offers a "quiet journey" experience that is ideal for all of this.

Across Thousands of Mountains and Waters, It's Like Walking on Flat Earth

From the beginning of the development of the new Lincoln Mariner Nautilus, Lincoln engineers were committed to making it the most comfortable and quiet vehicle in its class. The design of the suspension and damping system was considered a top priority as the pathway for the vehicle to receive a shock, vibration, and consequent noise from the ground. The all-new Lincoln Mariner Nautilus chooses a high-level starting point, creating the first barrier to vehicle comfort and quietness with an integrated link rear suspension and CCD adaptive suspension system.

In the mid-size luxury SUV segment, not many brands use the same integrated link rear suspension design as Lincoln. Compared to the general four-link rear suspension, this system can isolate more interference from the external environment; and compared to another part of the same class of vehicles selected five-link rear suspension, its extreme rigidity and freedom of control can more fully absorb and filter the impact from the road. The H-shaped lower control arm can effectively reduce the vibration and noise outside the car, further minimizing the impact of the cabin by the external environment.

Compared to conventional damping suspension systems, the new Lincoln Mariner Nautilus is equipped with a CCD adaptive suspension system that adjusts damping characteristics in real time to respond to rapidly changing road conditions. With feedback from the gas pedal, brake pedal, and steering wheel steering angle, the system can anticipate driving intentions and monitor the vehicle load, road potholes, and other factors in real-time to adjust the damping suspension's soft and stiff posture in time to ensure a superior driving experience under different load conditions.

The suspension and damping system design of the new Lincoln Mariner Nautilus is the first step in creating a submarine-like "quiet journey" for Lincoln across thousands of miles.

The world can be a quiet place

In addition to the class-leading suspension and damping system, the all-new Lincoln Mariner Nautilus also features a new vehicle silencing strategy.

The new vehicle's smooth exterior styling and numerous low wind resistance design details were also important considerations in the design of the new Lincoln Mariner Nautilus. While embracing the new Lincoln design language, the vehicle's wind resistance performance has been optimized over its predecessor to reduce wind noise during driving. The dual-sided exhaust design was added not just to emphasize the power, but to reduce the noise caused by engine exhaust system vibration by diverting the exhaust pressure. The low-rolling resistance tires are designed to suppress road and tire noise at the source before it is transmitted to the suspension.

The new Lincoln Mariner Nautilus is equipped with an ANC active noise cancellation system integrated with the Revel® audio system, which actively sends reverse sound waves into the cabin based on internal and external noise conditions, actively and intelligently optimizing the level of silence in the cabin with acoustic principles. Compared with other vehicles in the same class, the new vehicle also adopts double-layer laminated acoustic glass in the front and rear rows to meet the dual needs of Chinese customers for comfort and quietness in the rear of the vehicle, ensuring that the entire occupants of the vehicle can be isolated from the clutter and disturbance of external objects. At the same time, the vehicle also uses upgraded sound insulation and noise elimination materials in many places, making the new Lincoln Mariner Nautilus quietness the highest level in its class.

Quiet and dynamic. The all-new Lincoln Mariner Nautilus takes you on a quiet and comfortable journey, just like diving underwater in the blue and quiet, free and easy, always accompanying you all the way to focus on the "quiet journey" of driving and enjoying.

The all-new Lincoln Mariner Nautilus is available in four configurations: Premium Front-Wheel Drive, Premium Front-Wheel Drive, Premium All-Wheel Drive, and Premium All-Wheel Drive.
