In terms of appearance, the new generation BMW X5 has made some adjustments compared to the current model, following the latest family design concept, including the "open-eye" style headlights, more impactful front bumper, fog lamps, and the iconic L-shaped full LED rear lights and other details. It is also understood that the BMW X5 has been developed with many lightweight technologies, and the new generation X5 is about 90 kg lighter than existing models with the same configuration.

In addition to the original standard styling, the new BMW X5 also provides consumers with three different exterior style packages, including the Off-Road Style Package, the Premier Style Package and the M Sport Package, in addition to 11 paint colors for consumers to choose on their own.

In terms of the interior, the new generation BMW X5 still uses the similar crossover styling as the model on sale, with only minor differences in detail design and the addition of Dakota and Nappa leather upholstery in two different materials. In terms of interior features, panoramic sunroof, BMW ConnectedDrive, B&O and Harman/Kardon audio can be seen on different models with different configurations. In addition, the higher-end models will also be equipped with follow-me LED headlights, night vision system with pedestrian recognition, automatic high-beam control, a head-up display system, an automatic door suction function, adaptive air suspension, four-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic camera, front seat ventilation, heated rear seats, rear entertainment system, and other features.

In terms of power, the new BMW X5 xDrive30d will be powered by a 3.0 L turbo diesel engine with a maximum power of 258 hp and a maximum torque of 560 NM; the xDrive35i model will be powered by a 3.0 L inline six-cylinder gasoline engine with a maximum power of 306 hp and a maximum torque of 500 NM; the xDrive50i model is equipped with a 4.0 L V8 gasoline engine, with a maximum power of 408 hp and a maximum torque of 600 NM. All three engines are matched with the 8-speed manual transmission from ZF.

Competitors.

There is no doubt that the new BMW X5 will also be challenged by the Mercedes-Benz M-Series, Audi Q 7, Porsche Cayenne, and Volkswagen Touareg, just like the old model, after its launch.
