According to overseas media reports, the Mercedes-Maybach S580 4MATIC was officially launched for sale in the Outer Sea with a starting price of $184,900 (about RM 1,202,000). The new car is based on the development of the new generation S-Class and has been upgraded to be more luxurious on the original basis, while the wheelbase is also lengthened as usual. Previously, the new car made its world debut at the 2020 Guangzhou Auto Show.

In addition, the top version may still offer a two-tone body, which is one of the most iconic elements of the Maybach.

At the rear, the new Maybach S-Class follows the latest family design, with a flatter overall design. The taillight cluster is also changed to an "inverted triangle" style, with a slimmer, flatter shape, and echoes the headlight shape, with an embedded light-emitting unit, no longer a Lambert reflector, but a matrix LED, which is more recognizable when lit and A chrome-plated trim strip runs through the rear of the car connecting the taillights; while the exhaust layout below adopts a bilateral two-out design.

Entering the car, it is the same as the new S-Class, with the draped central touch screen extending longitudinally from the center console and becoming the protagonist of the new interior. It creates a wraparound cockpit space together with a large leather-trimmed instrument panel; the large silver trim on the center console, inspired by the deck of a yacht, runs throughout the interior space and is finished in open-hole walnut wood trim, which is paired with custom-made high-grade aluminum trim.

As a Maybach, there is no doubt about the comfort and luxury of the interior. The new car has a four-seat layout, with the second row of independent seats more rearward than the regular S-Class and with a huge leg drag, with a console running through the center, presenting a luxurious atmosphere of first class. In terms of details, we can see that the new seats, pillars, window frames, roof, and dashboard are wrapped in Napa leather, complemented by Mercedes-Mach's exclusive rose gold stitching and piping, and several exclusive Maybach logos are used

In terms of power, the Maybach S580 4MATIC is equipped with a V 8 engine matched with the latest generation 48V Intelligent Motor System (ISG). The engine has a maximum power of 370kW (503PS) and peak torque of 700N-m, and the motor can instantly deliver an additional 15kW (20PS) of power and 180N-m of torque with an intelligent cylinder closing function. It is equipped with an active engine noise compensation system that generates an inverse acoustic wave of engine noise for active noise reduction.

On the luxury, in the senior sense, Maybach S580 4MATIC is indeed a high technology, but the price of the overseas version went to 1.2 million yuan, the domestic Mercedes-Benz S500L price go to more than 1.8 million, I speculate that the Maybach S580 4MATIC in the domestic price is expected to exceed 2 million yuan, but I believe that the bosses are not bad this money.
