The Project MAYBACH China Tour, themed "Naturally", was unveiled in Shanghai, where Wagner, Chief Design Officer of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, and Virgil Abloh, an artist, architect, creative director, fashion designer, and philanthropist, created the concept car. The Project MAYBACH concept car made its debut.

At the same time, the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 Virgil Abloh Limited Edition, inspired by the concept car, was officially launched, with a limited edition of 150 units available worldwide.

As a second collaboration between Wagner and Virgil Abloh, the Project MAYBACH crossover project takes the exploration of "ultimate luxury" to a whole new level. The Project MAYBACH concept car is inspired by outdoor adventure, bringing Maybach's unique "ultimate luxury" to nature and awakening people's instinct to return to the wilderness and explore the unknown. The Mercedes-Maybach S 680 Virgil Abloh Limited Edition, which shares the same inspiration as the concept car, is engraved with the designer's imagination and aesthetics. The two creations not only show the new possibilities of design but also bring the future of luxury from the invisible to the tangible, from the unreal to the inevitable.

Specifically, the Project MAYBACH two-seater electric off-road concept has a body size of nearly six meters, a bold sand-colored paint job, anti-roll brackets with integrated luggage rack, searchlight clusters, and large wheels with coarse-grained tread, and 17-inch rims, reinforcing the off-road, pure outdoor style.

At the same time, the iconic Maybach design is still present. In addition to the headlights and prominent taillights, the front of the vehicle under the large glass panels is futuristic and offers a modern new interpretation of the classic vertical grille of the Maybach. The chrome trim integrated into the center of the front hatch echoes the rear window with its through-brake light trim, while the sand-colored paint on the sides and the dark black panels surrounding the body form the signature two-tone exterior design of the Maybach, bringing the connotation of "supreme luxury" to life.

The sand color is continued in the cockpit with a simple instrument panel that reinforces the minimalist design of the interior. When rotated 180 degrees, the instrument panel can also be transformed into a huge screen where the driver can control the steering wheel and pedals to experience an exclusive computer game that simulates real driving and brings new driving pleasure. In addition, the site of pioneering is also reflected in the open design of the interior, the seat can be lowered into a sleeping bunk, and can also open the rear partition to extend. The woven wool jacquard kilim fabric can be used either as a seat headrest or as a blanket to spread out. Thus, the vehicle can be transformed into a guest room with reading lights, leading the driver to immerse himself in nature in all directions.

In addition, as an electric concept car, Project MAYBACH has a solar cell under the transparent front hatch to provide energy for the vehicle. It is worth mentioning that the main interior material of the concept car is made of sustainable leather naturally tanned from coffee bean shells to reduce the environmental impact of the production material.

The Mercedes-Maybach S 680 Virgil Abloh Limited Edition, on the other hand, draws the maximum amount of essence from the Project MAYBACH concept car, which was specially created by Mercedes-Benz's bespoke team in Sindelfingen, Germany. The exterior of the car is painted in an exclusive two-tone paint scheme designed specifically for Project MAYBACH, with Obsidian Black high-gloss paint on the upper part of the car and Windstone Sand paint on the lower part of the car with exclusive Sand-colored forged wheels.

Inside, the two-tone interior design echoes the exterior, with the four individual seats, doors, instrument panel, and roof lining wrapped in black or sand-colored Nappa leather, with large areas of sand-colored pavement bringing a natural coziness, while the addition of classic black enhances the sense of power in the space. The center console, rear seat cushions and headrests are adorned with the Mercedes-Maybach and Virgil Abloh logo, and the exclusive "1 of 150" plaque is engraved on them, highlighting the commemorative value and prestigious status.

It is understood that the limited edition is also equipped with leading-edge technology and MBUX intelligent human-machine interaction system with an exclusive customized interface, presenting a more sophisticated and luxurious digital interaction experience for users. Owners of the limited edition will also receive an exclusive gift box wrapped in sand-colored Nappa leather and decorated with the Mercedes-Maybach and Virgil Abloh logos. The box contains a limited edition 1:18 scale replica of the car, two car keys, and a hiking buckle. In addition, owners will also receive a customized car coat with the co-branded logo.

Mr. Ming Yang, President, and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Sales & Service Beijing said, "After a century of development, Mercedes-Maybach has long since transcended the automotive industry itself and become synonymous with the spirit of the times of innovation and excellence, blending into the torrent of social development.
