Racing Car Carrier

Mercedes-Benz launched the legendary Sprinter series. In 1997, the Sprinter won the International Van of the Year award and received industry recognition. From Europe to North America and then to China, the Sprinter's footprints are everywhere. So far, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter has gone through three generations of evolution.

In 2020, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the release of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter model, the European tuner Kegger and Mercedes-Benz cooperation, released a car based on three generations of Sprinter model modified racing carriers, and this car is also the most well-modified and practical three generations of Sprinter I have seen.

The design of this third-generation Mercedes Sprinter comes from the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team. Therefore, the vehicle uses many elements from F1 races. Its paintwork comes from AMG's F1 cars, and the top it carries is built for the low-chassis high-performance competition model, which has many structural differences from our common car transporter.

Let's start with the front of the vehicle. Compared to the general version of the Mercedes Sprinter model, the front of this modified Sprinter is just too flashy. The vehicle's original bumper has been removed and replaced with a full set of competition surrounds with aerodynamic fins. This set of bracket designs from AMG, on the Sprinter such a large car although not improve the performance of the performance, the appearance of the performance is full.

The front grille is painted with a unique metallic paint that looks like it's blacked out on the front. But when the view is turned to the side, it will show a beautiful metallic shine. I don't like the design of the third-generation Sprinter, which is too sleek compared to the second-generation Sprinter. But on this race car transporter, the new front surround improves that.

The front surrounds also have a visible bulge on the side to improve airflow and further enhance the vehicle's aerodynamic performance.

The vehicle adopts a single-row cab arrangement with a rearward viewing window on the rear wall of the cab, which is convenient for observing the situation behind. The entire paint design is a reference to AMG's F1 cars, with blue lines dividing the black and silver areas and creating a unique gradient effect. Behind the driver's door, there are also many Mercedes-Benz trident-style patterns. Meanwhile, the vehicle was painted with the logos of sponsors such as IWC, Pirelli, and Petronas, and carried the car number 77, representing the former AMG F1 team driver Bottas. Unfortunately, Bottas has transferred to the Alfa Romeo team and is partnered with Chinese driver Zhou Guangyu.

If you don't have an F1 paint job, how can you have more power? The specially modified Sprinter Racing Car is powered by a 3.0T displacement Mercedes OM 642 diesel engine with 190 horsepower, which is also the most powerful engine available in the Sprinter model and is paired with an enhanced version of the Mercedes 7 G-TRONIC PLUS 7-speed automatic transmission with fully adjustable air suspension.

After looking at the exterior design, let's take a look at the upper design. This car is designed to carry sports cars, racing cars, and other vehicles, these cars have a low chassis, to allow them to get on the car without bumping, Kegger will be designed with an extra-long ramp area at the end of the upper mount so that low-chassis vehicles can also get on the car normally. To assist the vehicle on board, Kegger in the front of the upper design of the winch, up to 3.5 tons of vehicles can be towed.

To push the visual effect to the extreme, Kegger designed a full wrap-around side skirt for this Sprinter, with a large storage box and a 91-liter diesel tank and urea fluid tank inside. Not only is the visual effect superior, but the overall arrangement is also more organized and more in line with its high-end attributes.

The design of the right side of the vehicle is also the same, with the same full wrap-around side skirts, unique paint and 77 car number, and a built-in alloy storage box and other equipment. The vehicle also gets 18-inch forged wheels with AMG-style blue and green trim strips to further enhance visual performance.

The rear end features an integrated bumper design with the license plate holder placed next to the left taillight. The taillights, including the outline lights, are LED, and a tow hook and tail camera are designed to enhance safety and visibility performance.

Kegger also designed the bottom diffuser at the rear of the Sprinter, with a smoked rectangular exhaust tailpipe with a total of four bilateral outlets, from design to manufacture is very Mercedes AMG style.

How to load up the vehicle to be transported? It's quite simple. Kegger designed the vehicle with an extended 1.4-meter tailgate to make it easier to load low-bed vehicles. After pulling it up, just flip up and mount the wheel chocks.

The interior part of the vehicle is even more stunning. Based on the three generations of Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Kegger has given the interior a full leather + Alcantara wrap with hand stitching, full of detail and luxury.

Kegger also added an acoustic layer to the interior of the cabin and doors to further enhance comfort。
