Kawasaki Z900

Best-selling author Kawasaki The Z900 is a mid-range naked with a particularly aggressive posture that is solid, agile, and straightforward. The chassis components have been optimized for everyday usage and deliver a complete and accurate driving experience, making intense cornering as enjoyable as slalom through the city. Kawasaki added adjustable hlins suspension and more powerful brakes to their new Z900 SE model as a natural step. The issue now is how well these new components will operate on the racetrack under tremendous loads. Harga Kawasaki Z900 2022 Rp 250 Juta.

New braking system on Kawasaki Z900 SE

Brembo M4.32 monobloc calipers and 300mm Brembo dual discs have been installed on the Z900 SE's front brake system. The result is a genuinely forceful braking performance, with which even the sportiest drivers should be satisfied on the racing circuit. Of course, a Brembo radial brake pump would have been the cherry on top, but the Nissin's dose and pressure point were ideal, even under high stress.

In terms of braking, Yamaha's MT-09 SP replies with a similarly sophisticated brake system that includes a radially operated brake cylinder, 4-piston brake calipers, and a 298 mm double disc. Both testers agreed on a draw, however the Yamaha, with a ready-to-drive weight of 190 kilos, seemed somewhat lighter than the Kawa, which weighed 22 kilograms more.

Both motorcycles showed to be far from weak at the Ring in terms of power delivery. The 125 horsepower in-line four from Kawasaki already impressed with plenty of power and quick acceleration at low rpm. Furthermore, the relatively short geared and snappy gearbox suited our needs perfectly. Only the lack of a quickshifter, much alone a blipper, can be stated as a defeat openly and honestly.

Despite having roughly 6 horsepower less than the Kawasaki on paper, the Yamaha MT-09 SP couldn't be hurried around the ring any more sloppily. The Euro5 upgrade had little effect on the engine, while the new gearbox with quickshifter took care of the rest. In truth, the 889 cc three-119 cylinder's horsepower, immediate responsiveness, and savage power delivery wowed us. Last but not least, because it has a total weight of 22 kg less than the Kawa. Whether you want 4 or 3 cylinders, fireworks from above or pressure from the cellar, it's all a matter of personal preference.

Kawasaki Z900 SE vs. Yamaha MT-09 SP 2022 in terms of geometry, ergonomics, and track handling

Apart from a basic matter of taste as to whether you like the characteristics of a 4 or 3 cylinder, both bikes performed at a high level in terms of engine performance, brakes, and chassis up until this point. Our heroes, on the other hand, followed two very distinct courses in terms of geometry, seating posture, and handling.

The feet rested relatively high and far back on the Z900 rests, which was likely owing to the broad engine block. Good for leaning freedom, but extremely sporty in terms of knee angle. Positives included a deeply integrated sitting position that gives for a lot of control over the naked bike and a sporty, relaxed upper body posture that allows for both chilled and agile riding. The handlebars were also set at a comfortable height. So you can definitely talk about a balanced combination, which is why the front wheel was under enough pressure in every position.

MT-09 SP "Supermoto":We sat exceptionally erect on the Yamaha, the footrests were positioned quite comfortably and centrally in the standard mode - without compromising leaning flexibility - and the broad handlebars nearly sought steering impulses. A shortened wheelbase, a substantially steeper steering angle, and a short tail were added to this. This means the Yamaha can be driven nearly like a supermoto, but it's also a sneaky old dog when it comes to sporty driving.
