Suzuki's new VITARA will be upgraded for size, ride comfort, bodywork, etc.

The VITARA is a small SUV from Suzuki. The history of the VITARA goes back to the 1980s and 1990s when Suzuki found that the crossovers on the market were not based on passenger cars and set out to create a three-door compact SUV with a stylish urban look and true 4WD performance, and the VITARA was born.

The new generation Vitara will be larger, with its length increasing by 25mm to 4,200mm, its width increasing by 5mm to 1,780mm and its height increasing by 10mm to 1,620mm, while the wheelbase will remain unchanged at 2,500mm, and the new chassis platform will also improve overall ride comfort.

The new generation Vitara will be built with a new chassis platform and a new look. The front end looks a bit like the Toyota RAV4, with the same five-slot grille design above the tank shroud as the minor Ignis, and a trapezoidal tank shroud below, looking a bit like Toyota's Keen Look family design.

The front end is equipped with sharp LED headlights to create a more aggressive appearance, and a lot of muscular lines are used, while the roofline extending all the way from the A-pillar is in line with the most popular coupe-like style today.

On the side, the new car adopts a two-color body design, in line with the aesthetics of today's youth. The waistline shows an upward trend and extends from the front to the rear by a straight line, with a suspended roof design, more three-dimensional sense.

In the interior, Suzuki has redesigned the instrument panel, and the color central information display enhances the new VITARA's sense of sportiness and technology. In addition, the car's interior center uses a softer plastic-lined material. Large silver trim makes the entire dark interior more sporty. The top of the center console is covered with soft materials, while the bottom is the common hard plastic. Although the material of the plastic-lined process still has a clear texture, it does not look bad texture.

In terms of power, the new car may continue to be equipped with a 1.4T inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 136 hp and peak torque of 210 Nm. In addition to the 6-speed manual transmission, the new car will also provide a 6-speed manual transmission for consumers to choose.

In terms of configuration, the new car will be offered in two versions, GLX and GLE. The GLX version adds exterior mirrors with heating and electric folding function, keyless start, panoramic sunroof, front and rear parking sensors and hybrid fabric. The GLX version is equipped with tire pressure monitoring, LED front/rear headlights, reverse camera, adaptive cruise control, heated front seats and a combination instrument with 4.2-inch LCD screen.

The new car is also equipped with a number of additional features such as blind spot detection, traffic signal recognition, anti-fatigue alert and remote lighting assistant.

Suzuki has announced that the SwiftSport, Vitara and S-Cross will be replaced with a new engine with 48-volt light-hydraulic technology in 2020, powered mainly by the 1.4-liter Boostjet turbo engine codenamed K14D, with an ISG integrated starter motor generator to assist with power output. Suzuki has revealed that this 48-volt light-hydraulic power system has a maximum torque of 24 kgm and can be supplied from 2,000 rpm, and can reduce CO2 emissions by 20% and improve fuel consumption by 15%
