The charming coastal Vietnamese city of Quy Nhon will always be a captivating place to explore. There would be several efficient ways to get to and around Quy Nhon, and your choice will depend on your personal priorities. Described below are the main transport options so that you could make the most of your visit to this vibrant city.

By Air

As you might expect travelling to Quy Nhon by air would provide you with the opportunity to experience stunning aerial views of the city and its environs. Visitors from abroad who desire to fly into Quy Nhon would be obliged to arrive from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. Airlines that offer these routes would include Jetstar, VietJet Air and Vietnam Airlines. After flying in, you could take a taxi to your local destination, with several companies offering this service. You will also have the option of arranging a vehicle beforehand from DichungTaxi. A shuttle bus service would be available as well for a reasonable rate, while some resorts will provide transfer services too.

By Bus

You will find the Quy Nhon Bus Station at the city’s southern end. There would be several bus operators who provide services that link Quy Nhon and other major cities in Vietnam. Whilst travelling by bus may be somewhat time-consuming, it would probably be the cheapest option for budget travellers. You would find that several sleeper buses depart each day from Ho Chi Minh City for Quy Nhon, a ride that usually commences in the evenings and takes 12 to 14 hours. Buses from cities like Nha Trang, Da Nang, Pleiku and Da Lat also regularly arrive in Quy Nhon.

By Train

Visitors will find that Quy Nhon Railway Station only receives a single train service from Ho Chi Minh City each day, which would be an overnight 13-hour journey. Instead, it would be more prudent to take a train that travels to Dieu Tri Railway Station, a station that is located a fairly short distance from the centre of Quy Nhon. You will find that several trains arrive at this station each day from Ho Chi Minh City as well as Hanoi. Travelling by train in Vietnam would be an entrancing experience, providing you with the opportunity to enjoy lovely natural scenery as you make your way through the countryside.

By Private Car and Taxi

Renting your own car would be another good way to travel to and around Quy Nhon. Hiring a car or possibly a minivan would provide you with the ability to travel independently and in the long run, it would be more cost-effective than travelling by taxi.

Another popular option would be using a taxi, with the main options being the white taxis provided by Sun Taxi and the green taxis operated by the Mai Linh Group. If your taxi driver uses the meter, it would be certain that you would pay the correct fare. A choice of accommodation to consider which you could easily reach by taxi would be Avani Quy Nhon Resort; it could be regarded as one of the pleasingly located Vietnam beach resorts that also offer convenient transfer options from the airport or train station too.

By Motorcycle and Motorbike Taxi

You will find that renting a motorcycle would be an appealing way of getting around Quy Nhon, providing you with the opportunity to travel independently for an affordable cost. You could also travel by motorbike taxis – abundantly available in the city – or perhaps use the Grab ride-hailing service.

By Bicycle and Canoe

Should you be staying at a central location in Quy Nhon, consider renting a bicycle for making your way around the city. You will find that Quy Nhon would be an appealing city for cycling, with the remarkable 5 km beachfront promenade being a highlight.

There would also be some attractions in the environs of Quy Nhon like Hon Kho and Ky Co Beach which could only be reached by canoe. Accordingly, you could hire a canoe at one of the travel agencies which offers these crafts for rent.
